Tree trimming near power lines is the work a 2024 Google reviewer described: they said the company came by on behalf of the power company, said it was just trimming back a little to keep distance from the line, and ended up chopping branches all the way back to the trunk. That 2024 reviewer said the trees now look lopsided. A 2022 Reddit commenter wrote that Lucas and Asplundh are contracted by CMP to maintain clearance around the power lines. A 2022 Reddit commenter said Lucas has a residential and powerline division. A 2025 Google reviewer said two men shoveled them out of a snow ditch in Skowhegan near where they were working and helped push them out by hand, at no charge.

My husband and i were stuck in a snow ditch in Skowhegan near where they were working. The two wonderful gentlemen shoveled us and helped push us out by hand. Would have been there a lot longer if it wasn’t for these two kindly helping us at no charge! Thank you!!!
Their drivers think it’s ok to block traffic just so they can pull up and chat with the utility guys. Considering the fact that they could pretty easily pull forward and then pull over, it shows that they are lazy and apathetic to how they affect other people.
Came by today on behalf of the power company. Told me they were just trimming back a little, in order to keep appropriate distance from line. Ended up chopping branches all way back to trunk. They will never grow back again and now trees that were the pride of our property look lopsided and ridiculous. I have a fine choice of filthy words I’d like to fling in their direction. Terrible company to use. Dont use them!
