Luther Fence says on its website that it has been selling and installing fences in Connecticut for over 20 years, and it names New London, Middlesex, Windham and Tolland as its service area. A 2022 commenter in r/Connecticut reported a 4-foot black chain-link fence from Luther Fence in Groton at $20 per foot and called it highly recommended. Its Connecticut home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0629270, held by Luther Fence Inc, is active on the state registry. A 2024 Google customer said the company made their installation a priority after a wooden fence collapsed, and described vinyl and aluminum fencing put in around the pool. A 2024 customer said Luther Fence worked patiently with them to design and modify a fence and gate on challenging terrain, and thanked Jon and staff. A 2022 customer thanked Jonathan for suggestions on a new aluminum railing installation. A 2025 Google customer said a fence meant to keep a dog in took longer than expected and was left with gaps at the bottom big enough for the dog to slip under, even after the company was told; that customer also wrote that the material could be bent by hand. A 2024 BuildZoom customer said the installers were told to make the fence level and it sloped instead. A 2023 Google customer said a 25-foot section promised for the last week of October was never installed, and that a $2,000 check given to Jon Luther in July was refunded in November. In a 2009 Angi review, a customer said the company had to be called back to install tension wire that was on the proposal.

I do not recommend this company. We hired them to build a fence specifically so our dog could roam freely and safely in our yard. Not only did the project take way longer than expected, but when they finally finished, there were large gaps at the bottom of the fence — big enough for our dog to easily slip underneath and escape. We made them aware of the issue, and they still left it like that. Completely defeats the purpose of having a fence in the first place. And did I mention the quality of the material? We can bend it with our bare hands. Very disappointing and a waste of money. Save yourself the frustration and go with a company that actually listens and does the job right.
Instructed the installers to make the fence level, instead it sloped. Luther did not live up to their garrantee as stated on their website.

Luther Fence worked very patiently with us to design and modify a fence and gate involving challenging terrain. They have integrity and knowledge about their products. Post installation support was also excellent. They stand by their products. Thank you Jon and staff.
Service and communication was awful. I was promised that the 25 foot section of fence would be installed last week of October. It NEVER happened. I had given Jon Luther a check for $2,000 on July 7th. Finally, on November 28th I went over and got a refund check for $2,000. Wasted 5 months of my time !!!
