M T Cavanaugh Inc

This is our 1st time using M T Cavanaugh and if you're only reading this to decide if this is a good business then stop now and call them, you just found possibly the best plumbing/mech contractor in the Berkshires, seriously! If you want to learn more about why I'm writing this review then read on... My wife and I are West coast transplants and this is our 1st winter in the East...talk about trial by fire! At around 9pm, when the temp outside was around 0 we realized it was sort of cold in the house...yep, the boiler wasn't running. After a failed attempt to get emergency service we bundled up and made it though the night. By 8am it was colder in the house than inside the refrigerator. Start calling plumbers and they all said "not taking on new customers". When I called MTC, initially Jamie told me the same, and gave me a few names to try. There is a real shortage these days of tradesman in general and good contractors are often having trouble manning the jobs. But then 30 min later Jamie called me back to ask for more info because he had looked at his parts stock and might have the parts needed, specifically a fan motor. After checking the info for our boiler Jamie went ahead and found the motor needed. Fast forward to around 3pm that day and Jamie is at our house with the new motor, by 4pm the system is back working! Trying not to gush but talk about a super hero, Jamie Cavanaugh is all that and more! If you hadn't noticed, this is a family business and they're local to the area. They are professional, knowledgeable, courteous, trustworthy and very competent. THANK YOU MT Cavanaugh! J&A Frank

They did great work with a renovation we did a few years back. They have also been excellent completing some smaller projects as well as responding to failures due to an old house and an errant floor nailer. Everyone on their team from office to job site has been respectful, responsive, and fair. Good people to work with.

Out of necessity, I've used various plumbers in the area over the years, depending on the problem and on who was available. Hadn't used Cavanaugh for a while, but when I finally decided to get a small leak fixed in one of my old steam radiators, Cavanaugh was happy to take the job on (unlike some others I'd called), then managed to fit me in much sooner than expected, then did a great job at a reasonable price. Roger was both knowledgeable and friendly and made me wish I'd called Cavanaugh a lot sooner. They'll definitely keep getting my business.

These guys are the best. We bought a place with a boiler on its last legs. Jamie and the team at Cavanaugh were quick to come out and help with any issues. After a bunch of issues with the old boiler we replaced our entire system with Cavanaugh. They just completed the work in 3 days and the quality is incredible. I am so thankful we found these guys and will use them for everything moving forward.

My toilet stopped working in the evening on Labor Day. I called Jim Cavanaugh and he had a Plumber at my house at 8am the next day. A very nice young man came and fixed the toilet in 15mins. He wore a mask and was very professional. Cavanaugh MT Inc-Mechanical Contractor Plumbing does far more than just Plumbing. They completely installed my brand new gas stove. They fixed my Sink when it was leaking. Everything they have done for me has been done perfectly and finished the sameday. They are the very best in Berkshire County. P.s Jim Cavanaugh offered to send one of his guys over right away, but because it was labor day and they had already finished for the day i told him we would be okay until the next day. And we were🙂
