Macoy General Contracting

A 105-foot driveway and a walkway replaced in a single day of non-stop work: that is how one May 2020 customer describes Macoy General Contracting, a Stratford paving outfit with 4.6 stars from 91 ratings on HomeAdvisor and the same on Angi, and 3.7 from 6 on Google. Driveways are the job in these reviews. Roberto is named in 15 of them, and the detail customers return to is that he works on site with his crew. In a June 2020 review, a customer says Roberto was on site the entire time, and the team removed and replaced the driveway, trimmed overhanging limbs and left no piles of dirt or gravel. Another June 2020 customer had a gravel driveway turned into an actual driveway. A May 2020 reviewer got a new driveway plus a redone stone walkway, and a May 2023 Google reviewer praised the work on a driveway. A June 2023 customer says the driveway had already drawn compliments from friends driving by. Two reviews, in June 2023 and June 2024, describe the crew coming back to fix a spot at the entrance to a garage. The newest reviews, from June 2026, are short: "Fast and affordable." There are complaints. An October 2022 Google reviewer says the company blocked the street, did not care that people could not pass and encouraged people to pass unsafely. A June 2020 customer wanted calls returned within a reasonable time and had to call for an update, though the crew showed up and started within the hour. A September 2020 reviewer called Roberto over confident while still rating the work very good. Macoy Contracting LLC holds an active Connecticut home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0629831. Its BBB grade is A+. The company says it has over 30 years of experience with private houses and commercial parking lots.
