An NTI boiler that would not ignite, two technicians from another company, three trips and a recommendation to replace the whole boiler: that is how a 2025 Google customer described the situation before calling Maheux Heating & Refrigeration. That 2025 customer wrote that Joe Maheux showed up that day as promised, diagnosed the problem in about 10 minutes, had the needed part in his truck and had the boiler "humming in less than an hour," at a fraction of what the other company had charged. Maheux is a heating and cooling business in Jericho that names Chittenden as its service area and says on its website it has been in business 50 years. A 2023 customer said they felt comfortable with Rolland and his son Joe and would recommend them without hesitation. A 2024 customer said Joe installed three single-zone heat pumps in their home at what they called a very fair price. A 2024 reviewer signing as Brendan wrote that they fixed an old furnace and that Joe was more helpful and honest than other heating guys. Its BBB grade is A+, and it holds 5 stars from 9 Google ratings. In a September 2024 r/vermont thread, a commenter said the company installed three units for them.
“https://www.maheuxheating.com Installed 3 units for us.”
Our NTI Boiler failed to ignite and when the service company we had used to perform the annual maintenance attempted to fix it they were clueless. After 2 different technicians made 3 trips, spent more than 8 hours and replaced the igniter and flame sensor their solution was to replace the boiler. Luckily, I found Maheux Heating and Refrigeration. When I told Joe Maheux what I had gone through, he said he would come by that day and that he was sure he could fix it. He showed up as promised, diagnosed the problem in about 10 minutes, had the needed part in his truck and had the boiler humming in less than an hour! And, at a fraction of what I was charged by the incompetent company that wanted to sell me a whole new system. For expert professional service done for a fair price and with great integrity I wholeheartedly recommend Maheux Heating and Refrigeration.
Joe is local (Jericho) and will explain things to you. They fixed my old furnace! Other heating guys I’ve had coke over have not been as helpful or honest, Thanks Joe. - Brendan
What a great find! Joe installed 3 single zone heat pumps in our home. He did an excellent job at a very fair price. Joe is very knowledgeable and a super nice guy too. We would highly recommend Maheux Heating for any HVAC needs you may have. Reliable, trustworthy, excellent service...it's hard to find people like this anymore!
There is just something you know when you meet with a contractor, I felt comfortable and would without hesitation recommend Rolland and his son Joe. Thanks
Great guys. We wouldn't go anywhere else.
