Maietta Titus Blaschke Plumbing & Heating is a Portland plumbing and heating company that says it has served the area since 1986, working on new construction, remodels and maintenance for homes and light commercial customers. On Google it holds 4.5 stars from 15 ratings, and the BBB grades it A+. The newest review, from May 2026, credits Gary and technicians Sam and Brad with finishing "a huge job" in the allotted time. In an August 2025 review, a customer said the company installed gas heating systems in two of their buildings, one built in 1900, and has done many repairs there, explaining the scope and an estimate of costs when possible. A June 2025 review describes the plumbing and heating for a custom home in Gorham built with MGM Builders, including a Rinnai system installed in place of a standard hot water tank. One review is critical. In a July 2024 review, the buyer of a new home built in fall 2022, where the company did the plumbing, said a shower drain leaked into the basement and a heat pump head ran water down the wall; both were fixed, the heat pump after multiple visits. About a year and a half later, the customer found that two of the house's four heat pump condensation lines did not drain outside and had been dripping into the insulation, and hired another plumbing company to fix it. The Maine registry shows HVAC licence MS20005236, held by Gary P. Blaschke, as active.
From start to finish, Gary and technicians, Sam and Brad, were courteous, efficient and thorough. A huge job which they completed in the alotted time...an impressive feat!
These guys are the best! They are highly skilled and have installed gas heating systems on two buildings for us, and done countless repairs - small and large - at both buildings. They are responsive, smart, and communicate clearly the scope of a job along with an estimate of costs when it's possible. And they are all really nice people as well! Knowing they will be coming to fix something, especially in the building built in 1900, eases my mind endlessly when I have a problem! I recommend them highly!
This team recently completed the plumbing and heating for our custom home in Gorham with MGM Builders. The team was very professional and the install is very clean. They were always available for a call to discuss different options within our home- and educated us on the Rinnai system which we wound up having them install in lieu of a standard hot water tank. Highly recommend for Plumbing & HVAC needs
Bought a new construction home fall 2022 and they were the plumbing company used. Had a few issues right out of the gate; shower drain leaked into basement, also the day we moved in one of the heat pump heads had water running down the wall. Both issues were fixed in a timely manner although the heat pump took multiple visits to fix properly. Fast forward 1.5 years and I admit haven’t spent much time in our basement since it is not finished but went downstairs and noticed a puddle of water. I removed the insulation where water was coming from and noticed there is a condensation line that leads no where. Water had been leaking through the insulation and down the basement wall for who knows how long. We have 4 heat pump heads in our house, 2 of the 4 condensation lines do not have a drain out of the house. The 2 that don’t drain anywhere just come through the subfloor from the first floor and are dripping into insulation (picture and video attached), the other 2 condensation lines do drain outside the house. I don’t know if it was lazy craftsmanship or just missed but it’s unfortunate. Granted I didn’t notice it in timely manner for the past 1.5 years it hasn’t been this humid here and rarely ran the heat pump in the summer until now. We are hiring another plumbing company to fix the issue but if you have condensation lines check them to make sure they are properly drained so you don’t have these issues
