Twenty-two permitted projects, and exactly one written review to show for them. Mass Elite Carpentry works out of Medway, doing the kind of jobs that need a permit pulled — bathrooms, kitchens, basements, additions — and its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active. The company tells its own origin story plainly: two childhood friends who got tired of change orders, and of larger remodel outfits swapping project managers mid-job, so they built a shop where both owners stay on every project start to finish. Those owners, it says, are Eli Huntington in Sharon and Todd Johnson in Medway, each described on the company's site as holding a construction supervisor licence, though no numbers are given. The one homeowner who wrote it down, in December 2025, had a bathroom done and named both men: knowledgeable, solution-finding, personable. It is also the only written account so far — Google shows two ratings, and the Houzz and BBB profiles carry none at all. The BBB page is graded A+ and non-accredited, opened in 2020 for a business started in February 2018, with two employees. So: a small, owner-run crew with a real permit trail and very little public paper on how those jobs went. If you hire them, ask for references from the projects behind those permits rather than relying on what's posted. Houzz puts their typical job between $3,000 and $30,000 across twenty MetroWest and Norfolk County towns; the company's own service list runs from Avon and Canton out to Natick and Milford. Worth a call if you want the owners themselves on your bathroom or kitchen instead of a rotating site manager — with the caveat that you will be doing the reference-checking yourself.
