New lights and switches throughout the home, plus a new electrical panel: that is what one McNelly Electric customer described after a summer renovation in an October 2025 review. They said they were pleased with the electrical work and planned to use the company again. McNelly Electric is based in Newington. The company says it brings more than seven years of experience to electrical work for homeowners, builders and commercial clients throughout Connecticut. It advertises free estimates and 24/7 emergency service. Michael L. McNelly’s Connecticut electrician licence is active. BuildZoom also lists electrical and home-improvement licence numbers for the business and shows 113 projects; those directory listings are separate from the state verification. Google shows five stars from nine ratings. Written customer accounts span 2022 through 2025: a July 2025 reviewer recommended Mike and his team, while a November 2022 customer praised promptness, fair pricing and work completed on time.
We had full home renovation done over the summer. Cannot say enough wonderful things about this company. We are very pleased with their work on our home. We had new lighting fixture throughout the home, new switches throughout and new electrical panel placed. Very happy with their work and plan using them for all our future electrical needs!
Best Electrician around. Great company and great people, they do it right the first time. Highly recommend Mike and his team!
We would highly recommend McNelly Electric LLC. They are very honest, hard working, prompt and fair with their pricing. They are a throw back business who stands by their work and get everything done on time.
