Munson’s Electric handles household electrical work, and its Google page shows 119 ratings at 5 stars. The company's website says free panel inspections are included with every service call. One recent customer called about a tripped breaker; he came out the next morning and diagnosed and fixed the problem in less than an hour. A customer who lost all power in a condo around 10 PM said he walked them through the breaker and the meter over the phone, the power came right back on, and he refused to be paid for his time. The jobs run from small to large. A customer said Rich replaced a bathroom exhaust fan and switches and ran new ductwork. For a ceiling fan under a 16-foot ceiling, a customer said Rich came with his own tall ladder and used his own wire when they ran short. After an electric service upgrade and basement lighting work, a customer said the town inspector commented on the quality of the work. A 2025 customer said two other companies could not find an electrical problem in one room of their 1901 house, and that Rich found it in about 20 minutes and had it fixed within an hour. A 2025 customer said Richard and his apprentice replaced three baseboard panel thermostats and installed a new in-wall heater. Its Connecticut electrician licence, ELC.0209679-E1, is active under Richard T Munson.
Rich is very professional and friendly. The work was completed in a very timely manner and for a very fair price. Replaced an exhaust fan in bathroom, replaced switches, and ran new ductwork. I would highly recommend Munson’s Electric for any project

I Just had a great experience with Munson’s Electric. Very personable, honest, and respectful. I felt comfortable with them in my home. I Called yesterday for a tripped breaker. He was able to come out the next morning. Diagnosed and fixed the problem in less than 1 hr. Price was good. I will be calling again in the future for any other electrical issues.
Rich and his apprentice came to my house replace old wall outlets, fix light switches not working properly and will be coming back to replace old light fixtures for newer ones. They did a great job and Rich was very helpful and patient with all the questions I had. I will be using Munson’s electric for all of my electrical needs moving forward 👍🏻
