Three words come back again and again across forty-nine reviews: on time, fast, reasonable. Matt Mead's business is the honey-do list — this spring alone customers describe a keypad door lock replaced, dressers assembled, a new shed roof, and heavy items carried down from the yard to the basement. The speed is the selling point. A November 2023 customer went online on the Sunday of Thanksgiving week and had the job finished Monday morning. An October 2025 customer got a reply the same day and a visit the next. A March 2026 customer noted the invoice matched the quote and that nobody tried to talk them into more work in the room. The range is wide for a one-man operation: painting, drywall, deck repairs and staining, power washing, lawn care and junk removal are all on his Better Business Bureau listing, which carries an A+ grade. A 2022 customer had carpentry and painting done together. A 2024 customer had gutter drainage fixed. A 2021 customer, working through four floors of a house, said he took over writing the to-do list, told them what to buy for each job, and laid vinyl tile in two bathrooms better than professionals they had used before. The exception is recent and worth weighing. In July 2026 a customer wrote that they had gone over a knee-wall repair in person and specified rigid foam and insulation, that the insulation was skipped and the drywall sealed up anyway, and that when they pointed it out he raised his voice and tore the drywall back down. For a punch list of small jobs booked quickly and priced simply, this is a deep and current record — 4.9 across 34 on Angi, 4.7 across 113 on Porch, 4.6 across 96 on HomeAdvisor. For anything with a build-up behind the surface — insulation, framing, a wall that has to go back together in a particular order — write the materials and the sequence into the quote before he starts.
knee wall repair and I sent and photo and went over in person specific materials I wanted like rigid foam and insulation for the repair. Instead of following the plan or communicating with me, he skipped the insulation entirely and started sealing the drywall up. When I noticed and politely pointed it out, he completely lost his temper. Raising his voice and aggressively tearing the drywall back down. If a contractor disagrees with a standard method or isn't comfortable executing a plan for a standard install method because they quoted for an easier job where they thought they could cut corners, they should speak up or decline the job, not ignore instructions and lash out at the homeowner. Absolutely do not recommend.
Very efficient.
Wonderful job! Everything was done flawlessly and everything works. Thank you so much! Will definitely get him again for any other job in the future!
