Mead Handyman Service is Matt's one-person operation for the everyday list — assembling furniture, fixing gutters, small deck repairs, replacing a lock — built on being fast and responsive across a five-year, fifty-review record spanning Angi, HomeAdvisor, Porch and BuildZoom. The Better Business Bureau rates the company A+, and lists painting, drywall, deck repairs, power washing, lawn care and junk removal among its services. The pattern across the years is same-day or next-day turnaround on small jobs. In a 2025 review, a customer said Matt came the day after being contacted and fixed the problem in a short visit. In a 2024 review, a homeowner described him fixing gutter drainage and called the work great, and a 2022 review described him cleaning, sanding and staining a deck. In a 2021 review, a customer called him the best handyman they'd worked with, describing how he helped organize a scattered list of jobs across four levels of a home and suggested better approaches to some of them. Two July 2026 reviews — one on Angi, one on BuildZoom — describe the same knee-wall repair going wrong: the customer says they specified rigid foam insulation in advance, Matt skipped it and sealed the drywall without saying anything, and when they pointed it out he raised his voice and tore the drywall back down. It's a sharp break from the rest of the record and worth asking about directly; BuildZoom's own 1-star average reflects that single review. Outside that incident, the reviews describe a handyman built for quick, well-communicated small jobs — furniture assembly, lock changes, gutter and deck work — rather than large-scope projects, with the July 2026 dispute the one thing worth raising before handing over a job with a specific material spec to follow.
For a knee wall repair. I sent a photo and went over in person specific materials I bought like rigid foam and insulation for the repair. Instead of following the plan or communicating with me, he skipped the insulation and foam entirely and started sealing the drywall up. When I noticed and politely pointed it out, he completely lost his temper. Raising his voice and aggressively tearing the drywall back down. If a contractor disagrees with a standard method or isn't comfortable executing a plan because they quoted for an easier job where they thought they could cut corners, they should speak up or decline the job, not ignore instructions and lash out at the homeowner. Absolutely do not recommend.

Very efficient.
Installed new shed roof, fast and efficient. Great guy!
Matt got the job done in a timely manner, efficiently. He didn't charge anymore than he had asked. Did not push himself on us to do more in the room, which was great. He is very courteous. He is jolly friendly and gets the job done. He also cleans up after he is done. I would highly recommend Meade Handyman service.
