Meditation Gardens is a stone-and-masonry shop on Broadway in Haverhill, and the work it puts forward is all hardscape: stone walls, retaining walls, patios, staircases, a pond and waterfall. On Houzz the company calls itself a full-service stone and masonry business working across Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine, founded by Bob and Nancy Hammond, with Bob listed as a Massachusetts-certified arborist who came out of a career in landscape design. BBB names Nancy Hammond as owner and puts the headcount at five. What no source supplies is a customer verdict. Its Houzz page carries no reviews and still invites the first one, and its BBB profile shows none either. The A+ on that BBB profile is a grade rather than a customer rating, and BBB states the business is not accredited. The two profiles also disagree about how long the company has been at this: BBB dates the business to January 2004, Houzz says the Hammonds founded it in 1985. Fence installation appears on its Houzz service list, but nothing in the galleries or its own description centres on fencing — the pitch is natural stone. That leaves an established-looking masonry and landscape-stone business with pictures of its own work and no independent word from customers to weigh against them.
