That is the shape of this East Boston company's work: hardscape first — patios, walkways, steps, walls, driveways — with planting, mulching and seasonal cleanups alongside it. Its site says it has worked Boston and the surrounding area for over twelve years. Awkward sites are where the reviews get specific. A March 2023 customer had a retaining wall and patio built on a cramped, challenging urban lot. In a June 2025 review, a homeowner with a sloping, ledge-filled property and a wall falling apart went through many quotes before Francisco's came in competitive. An April 2025 customer whose patio flooded every year, sending water into the house, said Isaias' team finally solved it. And in a January 2026 review, a fence anchored to 1,000-pound stones blew over on a windy night and the crew came out to deal with it. Speed and price come up again and again. A January 2024 customer had four to five people on site and the job finished in three days. A November 2023 customer had a 14-by-30-foot concrete slab poured for a garage, two large trees taken out and the leaves cleared in three visits, and said the town inspector called the slab the best he had seen. A July 2024 homeowner had two other Boston landscapers quote prices they called astronomical before hiring Méndez. The one dissent is recent. A May 2026 reviewer said an online inquiry got no reply, a text did get one, and then, after they sent their availability, they never heard back — with a decent amount of work on the table. Worth asking too how long the company has been trading: its own site says over twelve years, its Angi profile says seven years of experience, and the Better Business Bureau opened a file on 4/1/2026 listing it as in business less than six months. For a patio, a retaining wall, a set of front steps or a driveway around East Boston, this is a crew with a long run of finished hardscape behind it and prices customers keep calling reasonable. Get the start date and the scope in writing, and if the first message goes unanswered, pick up the phone rather than wait.
