Mendoza Landscaping

Mendoza Landscaping is a Belmont, Massachusetts company run by Marvin Mendoza, offering landscape design, installation, and maintenance — patios, hardscaping, pruning, mulching, and yard clean-up — for residential and commercial clients. The company describes its team as having over 15 years of combined industry experience, though it doesn't give an exact founding date, and its stated service area is Belmont. Homeowners who've hired Mendoza Landscaping describe a consistent pattern going back to at least 2022: Marvin comes out personally to look at the job, often the same day he's contacted, and follows up quickly with a quote that reviewers repeatedly call fair and reasonable. Spring and fall cleanups — weeding, edging, mulching, and trimming — are the most frequently cited jobs, alongside tree and shrub trimming, sod installation, and snow removal. Several reviewers describe multi-year relationships, including one homeowner who says Marvin has handled their gardening and landscaping for five years, and another citing two years of continuous yard work. Recent reviews through mid-2026 keep describing the same responsiveness and thoroughness, including a same-day quote for a row of Arborvitae trees and a spring cleanup for a condo complex. One account stands out from the pattern: a 2024 review described the crew leaf-blowing a flower garden so close that it killed the plants, and also flagged an early, roughly 7:30 AM Saturday start time. It's the one clearly negative account among the reviews on file, and worth raising with Marvin directly if precise plant handling or start-time flexibility matters for your yard. One naming detail worth a note: while nearly every review names Marvin as the person homeowners deal with directly, a single Angi review refers to the contact as "Scott Mendoza" instead. Nothing else in the record explains the discrepancy. For homeowners in the Belmont area who want a landscaper who shows up personally, quotes quickly, and handles recurring seasonal work — cleanups, mulching, trimming, and smaller hardscaping and planting jobs — Mendoza Landscaping's history is strongly positive, with clear scheduling and pricing as the standout since 2022. Ask about timing preferences and plant handling around leaf-blowing if either is a concern before booking.
