Messinger’s Hardscape Landscaping and design

Messinger’s Hardscape builds stone patios, retaining walls and walkways, and it also plows and sands driveways. Its website names a service area running from Bucksport, Ellsworth and Orland to Brewer, Bangor, Hampden and Bar Harbor, and its 30 Google ratings average 4.8 stars. A 2025 customer said Ryan installed a bluestone front walkway at their house in Bar Harbor, called his price fair, and said he was clear about when he would arrive each day. A 2025 customer wrote that Ryan, Barry and the team built a new stone patio and, along the way, dealt with drainage issues and reinforced the fence. A 2025 customer said the company rebuilt a failing retaining wall and walkway. A 2025 customer with a summer home in Bar Harbor said they needed a retaining wall with pavers around it and described the process as painless. A recent customer in Bangor recommends the company for both landscaping and snow removal. A 2026 customer said they had used Messinger’s for plowing for two years and that Ryan always showed up when he said he would. A 2025 customer said they called in the morning for sand on an icy driveway and found it sanded a few hours later. On price, a 2026 reviewer who got a quote but did not hire the company said it came in at nearly 4x what competitors quoted for the same driveway, and that the company's follow-ups did not answer the reviewer's questions about the price.
