A recent Google customer rented two 20-foot containers for a house with no flat spot on the driveway, and said they had to send extra help to make it work. That customer said they were flexible with pick-up and drop-off dates and times. A recent Google customer kept a box in the company's yard for almost a year and said billing hiccups took more than one call to straighten out. That customer said the belongings were in perfect condition when delivered, and that the franchise in Massachusetts had quoted nearly 1500 dollars for a delivery done here for under 400. A 2026 Google customer said the box was delivered the very next day after the call, placed with the door oriented toward the garage. A 2026 Google customer said the driver shoveled out more snow to get the box farther back.
We rented two 20 foot containers. The house I moved to had some challenging elevation issues. There wasn't a flat spot on driveway. They had to send extra help to make it work. They also were super flexible with pick up and drop off dates and times. The guys on the trucks were great and the lady in the office was really helpful. When I talked to pods they could not compete with the flexibility. Which you need when moving the dates and times often change. Also Mibox has a bigger box size of 20 feet .
Had my box in their yard for almost a year, spent nearly 4k to house my belongings. I did have a few hiccups with billing & had to call to get things straightened out more than once, but ultimately the staff was helpful & always found resolution to my issues, my belongings were in perfect condition when i had them delivered and the drivers were outstanding, always helping me with whatever i needed & honestly just all around good people. Despite the few issues i had, the price (however absorbent) was much cheaper than the competition & even much cheaper than other mibox locations. The franchise in Massachusetts qouted me nearly 1500 dollars for the same delivery i had done for under 400.. granted their facility was climate controlled, but i still cant see how that should have affected their price so exponentially over Mi-box RI.. there is nothing else to say other than, im happy i chose Mi-box in Smithfield RI.. Much more reasonable pricing & excellent customer service... Good business
Like several other reviewers, I actually called Mi-Box after having a negative experience with their national competitor, whose online reservation as well as phone service couldn't get around the fact I have an obscure zip code in RI. I'm glad that happened though, because Mi-Box is a fantastic local company and everyone there has been a pleasure to work with!! The reservation process was easy and Adrienne was so nice. They were able to deliver our box the very next day after I called!! The driver also was professional, placed our box exactly where it needed to be on our property - including the angle of the door which had to be oriented toward the garage - and he was very courteous as well! We are very happy with Mi-Box of RI and recommend them!!
Both the ordering and delivery was seamless. Our driver was able to drop the box perfectly next to cars and even shoveled out more snow to get it farther back for us. I would recommend them to anybody moving in the area!
