Michael E Carroll and Friends Cons

Michael E Carroll and Friends Cons is an electrical contractor at 5 Wesley Street in Chelsea, and its BuildZoom profile is built almost entirely on permits: 149 projects, the bulk of them electrical. Nicholas D'Angelo is named as the owner there, and the Massachusetts registry lists him as the holder of record on electrician licence #13646, which the state shows active. One thing to ask about up front: a page on osha.gov cites the company for not having the employees who erect, disassemble, move, repair or inspect scaffolding trained by a competent person to recognize the hazards of that work. If your job needs staging or work at height, ask who on the crew is trained for it and how that training is documented. BuildZoom also lists two Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration numbers under the company, #104447 and #184535. If your project is a remodel rather than straight electrical work, look those numbers up yourself on the state's registration search before you sign anything. For licensed electrical work with a permit behind it, this is a reasonable shop to call in the Chelsea area. Get the scope and the price in writing, confirm the insurance certificate, and ask for a couple of recent customer references before the crew starts.
