Michelle Gerez is a New Bedford real-estate broker serving buyers and sellers. The Massachusetts registry lists her broker licence as active, and Google shows a 4.8-star rating from 19 reviews. Clients describe her as attentive, communicative, and persistent through difficult transactions. Reviews mention first-time buyers, selling a home in two days, purchases across state lines, and a complicated sale involving a solar-loan transfer; clients say she explained each step, stayed available, and helped them reach their goals. The review history runs from 2023 through 2026, with one review in the last six months. One 2024 reviewer explicitly said their criticism concerned Gerez's landlord performance rather than home sales, so prospective clients should distinguish property-management work from brokerage services when weighing that account. Gerez appears suited to buyers and sellers who want hands-on guidance and frequent communication. Confirm the current scope of representation, transaction details, and whether related property-management services are part of the engagement before signing.
Michelle made my first-time homebuyer experience easy and comfortable. As a first-time buyer, the process can feel overwhelming, but she reassured me every step of the way and answered all of my questions without hesitation. She was fully invested in finding a home that fit both my budget and my needs, consistently sharing new listings and accompanying me to showings. Michelle was wonderful to work with and truly made this experience a positive one. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to buy a home.
I cannot recommend Michelle enough! She brings an authentic exuberance to everything she does. It’s an incredibly great trait to have in a realtor - one which likely radiates to potential buyers. She was also a tremendous help in closing on our house. Between a lengthy solar loan transfer (the manufacturer of our panels went bankrupt during the closing process) and the buyer almost backing out several times she helped us navigate a very difficult and time consuming house sale. Her assistance and knowledge with litigation and quick response time is one of the main reasons we were finally able to close.
This review is NOT related to Michelle Gerez's home sales capacity... Michelle may be a stellar Realtor where it comes to home sales. I have no experience with her in that area. This review is for her performance as a landlord, which I feel is still directly related to those standards in the real estate field and that of being a Realtor as a whole. Also there are rentals actively listed as part of her Zillow business listings. I run a Property Management company. A group of foreign college student applicants for a unit was having trouble with a positive tenancy reference. One of their other prior landlords gave them a quite poor tenancy review. Normally we would reject an application on the poor tenancy reference, but I negotiated with the owner to allow an exception after hearing their story. I was trying to give the applicants the benefit of the doubt because the students seem sincere, but I need an official positive reference to back it up.... especially in the wake of the not so flattering one for some of the other occupants on the application. Michelle was given as a backup reference for one of the applicants in a last dich effort to move forward. Upon our initial phone call, Michelle was very nice and personable, she did verbally state she would rent to the tenants again, but this is not a legal reference I am able to use, I need a formal written one. I sent Michelle the official landlord reference form electronically and I saw she did open it, but 2 days later had still not filled it out, so I reached out to inquire (Read the screen snip of the text accompanying this for how that went). According to the record, Michelle spent a total of 3 minutes on two visits to the document. I say 5 minutes, but 5 minutes is VERY liberal... the form can be completed IN DETAIL in less than one minute easily. Even still, she left out the actual required and most vital information on the document. She couldn't submit it as complete with the required data missing.... so she simply put "This is complete" in the comments section and ceased any further communication pleading with her to submit a proper document on behalf of these students in order to secure the much needed apartment. Update: Michelle reached back out. (See Pic) The most important information Michelle left out on the reference form was all the information regarding the rented space and the question of whether or not Michelle was the owner of the rented space, or the question of who it would be if she is not.... as well as other important reference information regarding the tenants. I get Michelle is not happy about the poor review. But this certainly IS a real estate/Realtor related issue. I posted some images of an active rental from her business listings proving rentals are actually part of her business which she tried to deny. It's a couple minute form.... There is very little reason to not fill it out completely and properly. "Harassment" = The initial phone call, the 2 text sessions you see in the pics, and this review of my experience with Michelle Gerez Realtor.... There have been no other communication between us. I'm not trying to pressure her to complete the form in any way, as my request via text was my last.... This review was given after the final request and lack of response.... I'm just giving my review of the whole situation as it played out.
Amazing realtor from start to finish. She makes the entire home buying process easy and explains everything along the way. Highly recommend
