RE/MAX IMPACT is a RE/MAX-affiliated real estate brokerage based in New Bedford, Massachusetts, run by broker/owner Jon Wojtowicz and offering home buying and selling representation through a roster of local agents. The state registry confirms an active Massachusetts real estate broker license (9574249-RE-S) held by broker Bryan Desousa, one of the office's agents. Reviewers consistently single out Jon Wojtowicz by name for hands-on involvement. In a 2023 review, one buyer described him getting them their first-choice house in what they called "an extremely competitive sellers market." In another 2023 review, a first-time buyer purchasing after military service called him transparent and said he looked out for them "from start to finish." A third 2023 review described a "fairly complex home sale in a difficult market" that Jon closed quickly and at a strong price, calling it a rare combination of knowledge and above-and-beyond effort. A 2025 review credited agent Brandon with a friendly, responsive first-home purchase experience, connecting the buyer with everyone needed to complete the process. Google shows a 4.9-star average from 33 ratings, and the broader review pool backs that up with mostly brief but consistently positive accounts of a responsive, professional office across both buying and selling transactions. One 2025 review stands apart: a buyer described their seller's realtor engaging in what they called shady dealings, and said their agreement to have a gas leak found during inspection addressed by a contractor went unresolved, with their realtor and lawyer getting no response after the purchase closed. It's worth asking directly how post-closing follow-through is handled if an issue like this comes up. For a homeowner buying or selling in the New Bedford area, especially a first-time buyer or one navigating a competitive or complex transaction, the volume and specificity of positive accounts naming Jon Wojtowicz directly make this a reasonable office to call — worth confirming which agent you'd be working with and getting a clear answer on how post-closing issues get handled.
Their seller realtor pulled a bunch of shady dealings during my purchase. I had a buyer realtor but he convinced me the house was a good buy, despite the condition leading me to think the buyer and seller realtor were collectively just trying to take the money and run. During the purchase one of the agreements was to hire a contractor to deal with a gas leak discovered by myself during the inspection. They stated they would take care of the leak, but didn't provide any contractor information. After the purchase was complete my realtor and lawyer reached out multiple times and got no response about the contractor. After smelling gas I contacted liberty utilities who gave me a red card and required a contracted repair (which was discussed during the sale.) I went over 2 weeks with no gas causing me to boil water for bathing and extreme difficulty cooking, mind you I have a child and dog in the house which is the exact reason the leak was brought to attention. Once the repair was completed my plumber told me my gas stove was not up to code and could not be reconnected for use. I am still without a range and have to convert to electric or renovate my whole kitchen to make it up to code. NONE OF THIS was brought up during my paid inspection. Also, they set the closing date 2 weeks before the real date at the water company, causing me to pay another $100 in water I didn't use. My lender falsely overvalued the house to make it seem like I was getting a better deal than it was worth, but when I look at the home value, it's worth less than my original loan amount. Also, they left used mattresses, cut up furniture, and a bunch of debris in the basement for my disposal. Following the sale, the PREVIOUS owners not only came to my house but ONTO MY PROPERTY WITHOUT ASKING, looking for packages in their name because despite the house being on the market for 4 months, somehow they never changed their address in time. They came onto my property not once but 3 times, twice while I was not home, and trespassed onto my property looking for packages, witnesses said. A lot of shady things went down during this deal and I likely will never make a purchase through this realtor if they are involved in the sale or purchase of any home. Now after the fact I am being told there's not much I can do about the costs related to disposing their garbage, paying water they used, and paying for a repair that was contracted to be resolved before purchase. I now ONLY have gas to my water heater as a result of the previous sellers actions. All in all, I highly recommend AVOIDING this realtor if they are in the picture. Please don't end up a victim of shady dealings like myself. All in all, I feel like neither the seller realtor or my realtor had my best interest at heart they just wanted another paycheck.
I just worked with Brandon at Remax Impact to purchase my first home! He was friendly and welcoming at the open house and he was helpful and responsive as he walked me through each step of the process! He was able to connect me with everyone I needed to complete the home buying process. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! If you’re looking in this area, I would 100% recommend Brandon!
Stop reading reviews, shopping around, and just do business with Jon Wojtowicz! Just being honest here, I have never bought or sold anything through Jon or his team. However, the company I represent has sold Jon a product, and his customer rating is 5 stars. Let me explain... I have been in sales for over 25 years and I believe that salespeople more than anyone show their true colors when they become customers themselves. Specifically if there are any challenges inside of the purchase which in our transaction there were (on our part not his). Jon could not have been more professional, patient, and understanding during the resolution process. His colors are solid gold. Based on my experience with Jon, I would not hesitate to recommend him or to do business with him personally. We are sorry that we inconvenienced you, and thank you again for doing business with us. You are first class!
