Read fifty of this company's reviews and you stop learning about roofing and start learning names. Mike runs the site. Kyle brings the crew. Will and Lucas climb into the attic before anyone quotes a number. Across 383 Google ratings averaging 4.9, the same handful of people appear again and again, and customers write about them as individuals rather than as "the crew". The Westford outfit does roofs and everything hanging off them: full shingle replacements, repairs, seamless and copper gutters, leaf guards, skylights, ice-dam panels and the occasional length of vinyl siding put back up. Job sizes in the recent reviews run from a $900 roof wash and re-secured shingles to a $33,000 replacement and a $30,000 commercial job. Its Better Business Bureau file is an A+, accredited since March 2023. What recurs in the praise is the inspection, not the sale. One homeowner this spring was told by other companies that the roof needed replacing; this inspector disagreed, recommended ventilation fixes and vent replacement instead, and backed it with photos and video. Another was talked out of a $30,000 assumption after an attic check turned up rubberised mulch where an ice-and-water shield was supposed to be. A third had a leaking skylight, extensive rotted sheathing around it, a missing shingle and a vent pipe sealed — the last two thrown in at no extra charge. Several mention the drone footage and the before-during-after photo sets. The two dissenting voices this spring are worth weighing carefully because they are the same complaint at different volumes. A one-star reviewer in April says a mid-February roof-repair contract was signed and paid, scheduling slipped past the promised two days, the work was not completed as written, and the balance of the job was never finished. A three-star reviewer says the initial siding inspection was prompt and professional and then contact simply stopped despite repeated follow-up calls. Against 109 reviews in the last six months, two negatives is a thin fraction — but both are about follow-through after the money moves, which is exactly the failure a homeowner cares about. So: for a straightforward roof or gutter job where a named site supervisor stays in front of you, the record here is deep and current. Before you sign, get the full scope of work written into the contract, agree the payment schedule against completed stages rather than up front, and confirm who to call — by name — if something is left unfinished. Ask about the licence numbers too: Massachusetts registrations are listed on the company's Better Business Bureau file, but nothing here verifies them against the state registry.

The price was right and the job was superb. They cleaned up after themselves and did not damage any of my plants. They fixed my issue with the rain and melting snow landing on the stairs at my main entrance. I wish every contractor was as conscientious as this one. You can't go wrong with hiring the Mighty Dog.

The Mighty Dog Roofing team was a fantastic group of individuals to work with! Lucas came by the house fully prepared to answer questions and fully inspect the attic and roof before providing quotes. The work was scheduled a couple weeks later after waiting for the necessary permits. The whole effort took a day and the team updated us after each major step. Upon completion of the roof replacement, the team underwent a full sweep of the perimeter of the house to clean up any stray nails or old shingles. The roof looks fantastic and I couldn’t be happier that we chose Mighty Dog Roofing for the task!

What does a roof replacement cost in Greater Boston?
Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from Mighty Dog Roofing. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
A square is 100 sq ft of roof surface — bigger than the floor plan because of pitch and overhangs.
Estimated range
$9,000 – $18,600
Typical roofing project around $13,800
