Modern Standing Seam Metal Roofing works out of 219 Whitins Rd in Sutton, in south-central Massachusetts, and does one thing: it takes old asphalt shingle roofs off houses and barns and puts standing seam metal on in their place. Owner Adam Rosario is named directly in review after review — he does the inspection, writes the quote, and shows up with the crew — which is unusual enough at this price point that homeowners keep remarking on it. The track record runs deep for a specialist: 60 reviews on file from 2021 through 2026, and a 4.9-star Google average from 87 ratings. What customers describe most consistently is difficult work done cleanly. A 2026 reviewer had the firm roof a 1690s Colonial "with many cut-ins and cut-outs"; a 2025 review describes an 1875 farmhouse and barn where "not much was straight" at the start; a 2024 customer had been told no by several companies because of the pitch of their slope and had it done anyway. Several jobs finished in under two weeks, and daily cleanup comes up almost as often as the roof itself. Two other threads run through the reviews. Price is repeatedly described as the lowest or near-lowest of several quotes homeowners collected — one 2023 reviewer said Adam "underbid everyone else" and then delivered — and the crew is used to coordinating with solar: 2025 reviewers describe panels clamped to the standing seams rather than lagged through the roof surface, and one had the roof replaced specifically to prepare for panels. The honest counterweights are worth asking about. A 2023 reviewer reported the opposite experience — "a quick rush job" that left soda cans, nails, tools and sharp metal on the property — so confirm who supervises daily cleanup and what the punch-list process is. And metal is expensive: one homeowner described a large 2020s job as "shockingly expensive" at $90,000 even as the best of several bids. Ask for the scope in writing, ask what happens to gutters, skylights and flashing in the price, and confirm the company's registration with the state before you sign. If you want a standing seam metal roof — especially on an old, steep or complicated house, or ahead of a solar install — this is a specialist with a five-year, owner-named record of that exact work. If you want a general roofer for a straightforward asphalt job, the fit is less obvious.

Adam and his team were absolutely fantastic. We love our new roof. It is a work of art. So happy we decided to go for it!! Thank you thank you thank you!!
Adam was great . Price was great . All around great experience and the finished product we couldn’t be happier with .
When I needed to replace my old asphalt shingle roof, I knew I wanted to switch to a metal roof but I also knew how important finding the right company would be. I found Modern Standing Seam Metal Roofing later in the process but am very thankful I did. After talking with Adam, it was clear he was knowledgeable and experienced but also honest and reliable. This impression never changed. The whole process was seamless and followed the projected timeline exactly. The cost was extremely competitive and reasonable, never do you feel like you are being upcharged or pressured. I'm very happy with my experience and finished roof. If you want a metal roof, definitely give them a call.
Adam was a pleasure to work with on the selection of our roof color, appearance and pricing. His team was absolutely amazing too. They were all very diligent workers that took appropriate measures to do the job safely. We love our new roof and highly recommend Adam and his team.
I know these guys very, very, very well. Three years ago I needed a full roof on both my 1690s vintage old Colonial with many cut-ins and cut-outs---Adam was the best bid and had lots of experience. Even as the best of several bids, it was shockingly expensive ($90K), but it came out absolutely beautiful. Then my tree guy dropped a tree on it and Adam came out for the insurance-covered repairs. Then I built not one but two out-buildings---I wanted them to match, so Adam had his guys come out and do a stellar job. Most recently another tree fell on its own on my roof; Adam is quoting it now and should have it fixed "in a jiffy". So over three years, Adam has done four roofs and two repairs for me. No leaks. All beautiful work that will outlast my own existence. None of them were cheap, all are top quality, but he is highly competitive on price. Premium product, quality work. He is busy as heck, but there's a reason for that: he's the best. If you can get him, you'll thank me.
