We have worked with Craig several times, on projects ranging from building a custom kitchen island, installing hardwood flooring in every room across two floors (including all floor and surface prep required; ie, removal of old laminate, carpet, tile, and vinyl planking), redesigning and building a new stairway (changing a half-wall design, the profile of the stairs, a custom handrail and newel post, banisters, upgrading surface from carpet to hardwood and matching the finish and stain to the new flooring he had installed, etc.), designing and installing wainscotting up the stairway and upper hall, fixing kitchen cabinets that had been installed poorly by the original builder, removing and relocating existing cabinetry to change kitchen layouts, preparing the cabinetry to spec for the granite company's installation...there are very few places in the house that Craig has not fixed, revised, or enhanced. He is meticulous in his work. He does not rush through his projects to check them off a list. He keeps a clean work area. He is fantastic with animals and was mindful about doorways and "off limit" areas with two geriatric cats and two kittens over the span of two years. He asks plenty of questions about whether or not you have specific preferences or aesthetics in mind - but when you don't really know what you want, he's great at offering ideas and options and executing them. (Who knew there were so many decisions that could be made about what a stairway can look like?) He is trustworthy - and that has immense value. We left him in charge of our home while we worked days and I know I would not have felt comfortable with that plan with a different builder/woodworker. Having someone you can trust in your home is key.

Pricey. Seems like a good product though. He was very competent and came through on his quote. Would recommend for someone looking for refined workmanship.
