Verified record
Mosquito Squad of Newton is the local franchise of a national barrier-treatment brand, and nearly every review traces the same arc: a backyard unusable because of mosquitoes, then a treatment, then people going back outside. One homeowner living near marshes says they tried "every pest control advertised" before a coworker recommended Mosquito Squad and calls reclaiming the yard the best decision they made; another says a dog covered in mosquito bites finally got relief. The company (a nationally franchised brand, independently owned at each location including this one) says it invented the barrier treatment method in 2005 and has treated more than 300,000 backyards — a company claim, not something this profile verifies independently. Beyond mosquitoes, the record shows the crew handling ants, wasps, and flies for existing customers: one reviewer says she emailed about an ant problem on a Sunday and had a technician, Keith, respond and schedule service the same day. Reviewers across 2025 and 2026 describe the crew as on time, easy to work with, and — repeatedly — the reason they can eat dinner or sit outside in the evening again after a single treatment. One September 2025 review stands apart from the rest: a neighbor who didn't hire the company describes butterflies, bees, and ladybugs disappearing from the area after several nearby households started using Mosquito Squad's spray treatments, and urges anyone considering it to weigh the effect on beneficial insects rather than spraying at all. It's the kind of concern that doesn't show up in a satisfaction score but is worth asking about directly — specifically, what's actually in the barrier spray and whether a more targeted or natural option (something a few reviewers say the company does offer) is available. At 4.9 stars across 30 Google ratings with no recent negative reviews on file, the written record for actual customers is close to uniformly positive on responsiveness and results. The open question is entirely about the treatment's broader impact rather than whether it works.

Responsive, friendly, thorough, and competitive pricing. Highly recommend!
Before hiring the Mosquito squad, the mosquitoes was so bad in my backyard they would swarm I would get bitten. They were all over the dog and since I've been using them It's been a pleasure to actually go out in the backyard
Mosquito squad gets the job done. Easy to deal with and efficient. There will be no disease carrying mosquitos in your yard this summer.
I live next to marshes and the mosquitos made life so uncomfortable. I tried every pest control advertised who claimed to be the best. I gave up until a coworker suggested Mosquito Squad. I have reclaimed my backyard and can finally enjoy being outside. Best decision I made
Keith is really wonderful and so responsive. I had an ant problem and I emailed about it on a Sunday and I received a response about it the same day and service was scheduled immediately. The treatments for flys and mosquitoes definitely made a large impact and I can’t recommend them enough!
