In a 2025 review, a customer who hired MSF Landscape and its owner, Mark Forge, for several landscaping projects, including a stone patio and an irrigation system, said the work dragged on for months, they had to terminate the agreement, and they had prepaid for materials that were never delivered. In another 2025 review, a customer said Mark took a large deposit in September of 2024 for a stamped concrete patio and never showed up.
Mark took a large deposit from me September of 2024 to do a stamped concrete patio. Haven't seen him or heard from him since that day. I told him I needed it done by Thanksgiving. He said no problem. Never showed up. He didn't answer phone calls or emails. I had a lawyer write him a few letters. He ignored those. Avoid this man. He's a con artist.
A Horrible Experience with MSF Landscape and Mark Forge. He will owes me money! I hired MSF Landscape and its owner, Mark Forge, for several landscaping projects, including a stone patio and an irrigation system. From the start, the work was unbelievably slow and consistently late. The stone patio and irrigation system, which were supposed to take weeks, dragged on for months without explanation or progress. The situation became so unbearable that I had to terminate the agreement entirely. Even after termination, I discovered that I had prepaid for materials that were never delivered, and I was unable to recoup my money. Despite sending 10 attempts to contact Mark Forge via text, phone, and even through my attorney, he refused to respond to any of my outreach. This unprofessional behavior left me with unfinished projects, a significant financial loss, and no accountability from Mark Forge or MSF Landscape. I have now filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and strongly advise anyone considering this company to steer clear. Mark seemed like a nice guy to start. But then ghosted me. I would not trust MSF Landscape or him—their lack of professionalism, communication, and responsibility will cost you both time and money.
Mark was great to start. I was having a stamped concrete patio done. Very responsive until he got your deposit; which he asks for 50% upfront. I didn’t know that by MA law he cannot ask for more than a 1/3 as a deposit. After enough phone calls and emails, we had a start date which continued to get delayed by weeks. His crew was nice to deal with but the communication between Mark and his crew was poor. I sent an email in reference to some changes to our initial plan and Mark never communicated that to his foreman. The crew worked hard but usually for 1/2 days (project was not a big job) so I was not surprised by the shorter days. The project took about a week to complete and when they brought in loam it was full of junk and weeds. I feel they just recycled it from some else’s project and now I’m stuck trying to get rid of weeds and getting grass to grow again. For the patio itself, it was going great until they ran out of concrete and then tried to blame it on the concrete delivery company for the shortage. Fair warning: if you do use them, check behind them for measurements and use a concrete calculator to make sure they order the right amount. When they had to come back and finish, they did a horrible job and it doesn’t match well at all. Good luck if you choose to go with them and make sure to go behind Mark and double check his work.
Mark is super easy to work with and very responsive! The team did a fantastic job replacing my front walk with stamped concrete and covering my cement front steps with a beautiful stone facade. So glad I went with these guys!
