We hired Mount Hope Masonry for one project that quickly turned into three... our outdoor fireplace, driveway restoration, and pool wall repair. We couldn’t be happier with the results! We originally found Ian while looking for someone to do the stone facing on our outdoor fireplace, and from the very beginning he was incredibly responsive, professional, and easy to work with. Whether it was a quick text or phone call, communication was always prompt. He’s also very realistic and transparent when quoting jobs, explaining potential unforeseen issues upfront so there are no surprises later. The fireplace completely exceeded our expectations. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are phenomenal, and it truly became the centerpiece of our backyard. After seeing his work, we hired him to restore and re-level our large paver driveway, which had multiple uneven and sinking areas. This was a major project, but the finished result looks fantastic and feels built to last for years to come. One thing that really stood out is how much pride Ian takes in his work – if something doesn’t sit right with him, he’ll come back and make it perfect, even if you may not have noticed it yourself. Our final project was repairing stonework around our pool waterfall and stairs. What started as a simple patch job turned into a seamless restoration. Ian noticed we had matching stone stored under our porch from a previous project, cut it to fit perfectly, and blended everything so naturally that it looks like it was always there. Good masonry work is hard to find these days, and Mount Hope Masonry is quickly building a reputation as one of the best around. Ian clearly cares about doing things the right way, and it’s obvious in both the quality of the work and the way he mentors his apprentices on his crew. I recently hired Mt Hope Masonry to repair and replace the tiles on my front steps, and I could not be happier with the experience.
