A homeowner writing in August 2025 had the driveway done along with a dry well and said the water in the garage stopped; in a February 2024 review another hired them for yard drainage against a flooding basement and said John and Tom talked the plan through and proposed one less involved and less expensive. A July 2025 review lists retaining wall repair, a concrete walk replacement, sealing a leaking foundation wall and patching a sinkhole in the asphalt as a single job. The finish gets attention too. In March 2025 a homeowner had front brick steps restored and brought up to code, and noticed the cleanup took old concrete stains with it; another March 2025 review describes a 90-year-old step and landing rebuilt in the middle of winter with a concrete base, granite surface and stone on the sides, with Tom waiting for a day with some warmth. A July 2026 reviewer had a puddingstone retaining wall rebuilt with new stone stairs and a trash area, crediting John for the idea of a landing for the stairs and a better driveway cut-out. Before you sign, sort out the paperwork. The home improvement contractor registration the state registry holds for Prostone, #196006, is expired, and the Better Business Bureau profile lists a different registration number — ask which one is current and look it up on the state register yourself. BBB grades the company A+ and lists it as accredited. For stonework that changes the face of a house — steps, a walkway, a wall — or a wet basement to solve along with the patio above it, this is a small crew, and two customers describe hiring them a second time. Confirm which registration is current, get the scope and the drainage details in writing, and pin down a start date.
