Mystic Solar, Inc. puts solar panels on homes, and it holds a 5-star Google rating across 39 ratings. A recent customer said Smaran kept them informed of the process, including delays, and set up the apps; when they moved, he connected them to the site to move the solar service to a new owner. A 2026 customer said Smaran and Mystic/Shoreline solar installed their system in December 2025 and finished before the new year. That 2026 customer said a windstorm hit on installation day and Smaran reorganized the schedule to get them in the following day, and that his team handled permitting, appointments and forms. A 2026 customer whose system was not generating said a tech found an expensive part was needed, and that owner Smaren submitted the insurance claim and installed the part when it came in. A 2024 customer said Mystic Solar put them in touch with its installer, who removed and replaced their panels for a roof replacement at the customer's own cost, and that Mystic Solar never charged for its own time. On Reddit, a 2024 commenter in r/Connecticut who said they had worked with quite a few solar companies as an electrician called it locally owned and the only one they trust.
“got a few good leads for Smart Volt Solar, Mystic, etc.”
“Mystic solar”
“Mystic Solar hands down. Locally owned, and worlds better than the big box companies. The owner is a great guy, and willing to work with you if it’s not an ideal installation. I’ve worked with quite a few solar companies as an electrician, and they are the only ones I trust or recommend”
I have been very happy with Mystic Solar since installing solar panels on our home last year. Smaran kept us informed of the process, notifying of any delays and setting up the apps and newness of a new utility coming to our home. This year, we are in the process of moving and need to move the solar service to a new owner. Smaran responded immediately to me and helped connect me to the site to start the process. I appreciate that he has been there even long after the original solar sale to answer any questions that come up. He has also provided service to my neighbors, even helping a neighbor with solar from another vendor when he replaced his roof. He helped him find the right vendors who could help him move and replace his existing panels. With so many solar vendors out there, I am grateful to have found Mystic Solar who was there not only through the purchase phase but also in the ownership and transfer phase.
Smaran was a pleasure to work with...honest, hardworking and also readily available for my hundreds of questions and concerns. Smaran was true to his word....installation was a breeze ....all installers were knowledgeable and courteous. Highly recommend inviting Smaran into your home to switch to Solar..he is trustworthy and has saved me a bundle!
Smaren is an amazing liaison! The company should be thrilled to have him representing them. He is the kindest, most responsive and helpful salesperson I’ve ever encountered.
Smaran and Mystic/Shoreline solar installed our system December 2025. We had debated solar for a long time. Like many, we decided to go with solar before the elimination of the tax credit, which was substantial, on 12/31/2025. Even then, we waited until Fall to finalize our decision. We solicited offers from several providers. A friend who recently designed his own solar helped us. We had a bad experience with one of the national solar companies; shady practices and sub-par equipment. A well respected and regarded CT company was great to work with but was expensive. Further, they told us there was no way to get the installation completed by the expiration. Specifically saying, “Don’t believe any company that says they can.” Smaran said it would be close but thought his company could complete the job by the end of the year. He also offered better equipment at a lower cost. I was skeptical at first. I was susceptible to influence from the other companies saying I would miss the credit deadline. In short, Smaran and his team finished our project before the new year and it was a joy to work with them. From the start Smaran was very patient. I was constantly texting and e-mailing him, worried about deadlines. Admittedly, I was annoying. Smaran never made me feel uncomfortable, explained each step, and checked in on me on more than one occasion. If he saw me outside as he drove by, he would pull in to say hi and chat. His team handled the entire process, permitting, appointments, forms, etc. It was almost embarrassing how little I had to do. Mid-way through the process I panicked and second guessed my entire design, even after the engineering plans were submitted. Smaran, again, calmly came up with the alternate design I requested and let me decide which I wanted. I distinctly remember him not being annoyed and simply letting me be, saying we would do whatever I chose (we stuck with his original plan). During installation day there was a windstorm. Smaran and I texted a few times, he reorganized the schedule for his teams and was able to get me in the following day. I know this was a logistical headache as his company was doing many installs simultaneously to mine. While larger companies may have fancy advertising and the façade of ample resources, you are often left wondering who to call for different aspects. Bounced around from one office to the next. I have friends who have been stuck in solar limbo because a national provider kept giving them a new number to call. Working with Smaran directly was a breeze. If I had a question or concern, I would just contact him. I always knew he was there to support me and never had to worry about getting the run around. Smaran stood by his company. I stand by my own experience with Smaran and easily recommend him to anyone considering solar.
My Solar was not generating. I called about 5 companies to diagnose and fix. I was shocked how quickly Mystic Solar fit me in. A polite tech determined I needed an expensive part. Owner Smaren submitted my insurance claim and got my system up and running. As soon as the part came in, he installed. No one else would give me the time of day. If you want professional, friendly service and reasonable pricing go with Mystic!!
