A recent Reddit commenter said roofing is done through CB Roofing in Vernon, with solar options available too. The company's website says CB Roofing is now an Earthlight Technologies company, with Tim Cote-led craftsmanship since 1993. CB Roofing LLC's Connecticut home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0706553, is active on the state registry. A recent customer who came through Earthlight said the company removed and reinstalled their solar, installed a 50 year roof and 6 skylights, and that Tim stopped by several times to inspect. A recent customer said their shrubs were well protected and no debris was left after the roof was replaced. A 2026 customer said Tim was never pushy and that the pricing was fair and transparent, with no hidden fees. A 2025 customer who works in a facilities department said they hoisted huge tarps to protect the house and catch debris, then used a magnetic broom to scour the yard for nails. A 2025 customer said the old roof was removed and a new one installed in one day, with the sides of the house and the bushes covered. In a 2025 review, House of Heroes CT thanked CB Roofing for the gift of a new roof to a veteran in West Hartford. A 2024 customer said Tim helped them navigate the insurance process until the claim was approved. A 2024 customer said Tim chose to look from above rather than take out the ceiling below, was true to his quote, and that the work crew replaced roofs on 2 extensions in 2 days. In a later update to that 2024 review, the customer said they chased follow-up service for 5 months, including a no-show for a scheduled service, then confirmed the roof was repaired to their satisfaction at no charge. A 2025 customer said they could have been a little quicker to respond to calls about an issue. A 2021 customer said he told them he would return in 3 weeks in August and had not been seen or heard from by the end of November.

Nice quality job! Great communication with the staff at Earthlight/ CB roofing.
CB roofing did an excellent job replacing our roof. Our shrubs were well protected from any damage and they left no signs of any debris anywhere. I would highly recommend this company to any homeowner looking for a top quality roofing job. Thank you to Tim Cote and his crew for the exceptional work they performed.
Tim and his team did an outstanding job on our roof!! We are very happy with the results and the process. What stood out most to me was Tim’s integrity—he’s honest, straightforward, and easy to work with. He was never pushy and showed genuine respect for other contractors, which made the decision process to us feel comfortable and pressure-free. The pricing was fair and transparent, with no hidden fees. It was clear throughout the process that Tim and his whole team are hard workers who take pride in their work and genuinely care about doing the job right while treating our home with respect. I would recommend them wholeheartedly and use their services again if needed in the future.
Terrific job. Removed old roof and installed new one in 1 day. Friendly staff and crew. Constantly cleaning up during the day to limit debris including nails from old roof. To prevent damage to house & gardens they covered sides of house and bushes to prevent damage. Couldn’t be happier with the results and CB Roofing.
Had the roof done back in July, 2021 - holding up great and they were reasonably priced and got the job done quickly. Only needed the top portion done as the lower portion wasn't needing it then.
