Nelson Company says it has served the Southern Maine area as a family-run business for over 40 years, and its website describes jobs ranging from large commercial projects to custom home renovations. On Google it holds 2.8 stars from 27 ratings; its BBB grade is A+. A 2025 reviewer said Nelson plowed a six-unit building two doors down and pushed the snow across a neighbor's lot, through the reviewer's garden and over into their driveway. That reviewer said the company had it removed after a call, but the driver was rude. A recent Google reviewer said one of the company's drivers, sitting in a left turn lane, cut everyone off to turn right without signaling. A 2023 customer complained that the lawn was mowed every two to three weeks whether it needed it or not. A 2023 reviewer called them great people to work with.
