New England ABC lays asphalt driveways. A recent customer said Jason and team removed an old gravel driveway and installed new asphalt, and that Jason stayed onsite throughout the job. The company describes itself as a provider of asphalt, brick and concrete work in York and Cumberland Counties in Maine, with over 25 years of experience. A recent customer said Jason and his crew prepared, paved and seeded around the new asphalt. A recent customer described new stairs and a walkway, built where two other sets of stairs were buried under the one being replaced. A 2022 customer said Jason charged the original estimate price even though gas prices had gone up before the driveway resurfacing was completed. A recent HomeAdvisor customer who hired the company to sealcoat a driveway said a problem appeared afterward; Jason agreed it was not good and said he would take care of it, later said it was a bad product, and the customer said they have not received a resolution. A 2025 customer wrote that six years after the paving, the driveway had low spots that collect water and cracks, and that the install was 2 1/2 inches thick. A 2021 customer said Jason was hard to get ahold of sometimes. A 2022 customer said machines damaged the old driveway while it was being extended, that nobody told the customer's wife at home, and that the repair was partial, with one spot missed.
Since we had a good experience with the installation of a new driveway, that was installed by Jason Moss at ABC Paving NE based out of Waterboro, ME, we hired them to sealcoat our driveway. Unfortunately, we had a very different experience and encountered a problem with the work afterward. I contacted Jason to give them an opportunity to inspect and correct the issue. I sent pictures of the issue, which he even agreed that it was not good and he?d take care of it. After another 2 months went by, I called and then he said it was a bad product they don?t use any. I then asked if I got a different product, if he?d redo the driveway or give a partial refund. This was the last I heard from them. Despite my attempts to reach them, I have not received a meaningful response or a resolution. Based on my experience, If you?re looking to have your driveway seal coated, I would NOT recommend ABC Paving NE.
Jason and the crew were fast efficient and got our driveway completed beautifully. Jason was a pleasure to deal with and a great communicator.
