In 2024, the Community Action Weatherization Program subcontracted with this company to blow insulation under my floors and also install a new propane heating system in my home. After they were done, several leaks were found in my main waste drain pipe resulting in human waste leaking throughout the insulation and contaminating all the floor boards. It was not promptly dealt despite numerous attempts to have them do so, which resulted in mold growth throughout my home, and over $185,000 in damage which is still unresolved. After that damage, it was found that the heating system they installed was deemed a fire and combustion hazard, as it was installed without the required permits, insufficient clearances, incorrect roof jack and venting, improper wiring, all code violations, as verified by my town building inspector, which also invalidated the warranty, causing additional monetary damages and leaving me with no heat.

Had a really great experience with Newell Crathern! Josh came out first to do the weatherization audit and was super easy to talk to, he explained everything in a way that actually made sense and didn’t feel pushy at all. A few weeks later, the crew came back to do the insulation work in my attic and around the house. Shoutout to Ryan, Kyle, Tristan, Ron, and Nate (aka “Nate the Great”) they were all awesome. Friendly, respectful, and clearly knew what they were doing. They worked hard, got everything done efficiently, and cleaned up before they left. Overall just a really smooth process and a solid team. Definitely glad I went with them and would recommend them to anyone looking to make their home more energy efficient!

john from HVAC department was very fast and convenient with my hot water tank. I called them the night before and they offered to come and hook up a temporary one, I didn't need it . They were there the next morning first thing and installed it very quickly and professionally.
