No Frills Oil describes itself as a fuel supplier for homes and businesses in Downeast Maine and says it has been in business 46 years. Its BBB profile describes it as a retail heating oil dealer selling kerosene and #2 oil, with 24-hour phone service, and the BBB grades it A+. A 2026 Google customer said they ran out of propane on the morning of a blizzard, called the office, and No Frills sent a truck immediately. That 2026 customer wrote that something broke when the delivery man tried to close a valve, and two men came and delivered another tank off their truck. A 2025 customer said they were almost out of fuel on a bitter cold day after forgetting to order ahead, and the company had them filled up before dark. A 2025 reviewer wrote that the new customer application on the No Frills website was simple to fill out and that fuel delivery took place exactly when the company said it would. A 2025 propane customer of three years wrote that its service includes servicing and installing generators. A 2025 customer wrote that a family with three kids under 8 was left without fuel after a delivery was supposed to arrive that day. In a 2023 review, a person building a home said they were told to fill out a lengthy online new customer application asking for a Social Security number and other personal information, then heard nothing back.

On the morning of the storm, I became aware of the fact I had no more propane to heat the house. There was a blizzard coming, and I called No Frills. It started early. I finally got a hold of the office and explained that I had no more propane. They sent a truck immediately.. When the delivery man tried to close a valve, something broke, so he had to call the office. Two men came and delivered another extremely heavy tank off their truck. By this time, the blizzard was going pretty good. I cannot thank this company enough for their great effort during that storm. I have had them for years, and they have been an A1 plus company. I highly recommend No Frills.
We have been propane customers for three years. No Frills has excellent pricing and service including servicing and installing generators.

Not sure what's going on with the one star reviews but I've been using No Frills for over 10 years without a problem. I would recommend them based on my experience.
Customer service as it should be! On the No Frills website, the new customer application was easy and simple to fill out. I was a customer that afternoon and fuel delivery was scheduled and took place exactly when they said it would. Invoicing was prompt and clear and easily understood.
