The job Novak Landscaping keeps getting called for is the yard that got away from someone. Seven reviewers describe exactly that: years and years of overgrown weeds and brush cut back in June 2025, a hill of weeds turned into a mulched bed with annuals and fresh perennials in May 2026, and a front lawn a May 2026 customer called dirt and weeds with some token grass, fixed with one day of clearing, one day of hydroseed and four weeks of watering. John Novak runs it out of Saugus, and the company's site says it has been at this for ten years. Reviewers in 2023, 2025 and 2026 describe the same sequence: John comes out himself to look, prices the job up front, and the crew arrives on the day. A customer of three years, writing in September 2026, said they are on time and do meticulous work. An August 2026 homeowner having a patio and crushed-stone border built said the owner visited the site, laid out pricing and scope beforehand, and the job finished inside the original timeline. In April 2025 a customer who wanted a backyard walkway demolished and a paver patio put in its place said John came out the same day to look at it. The range goes well past mowing. In August 2025 a homeowner had badly overgrown trees shaped and a rotted one taken down. A May 2023 customer had thatching, aeration, seeding, walkway pavers and gutter cleaning handled in a single visit. In March 2024 another had sod installed alongside a spring cleanout, and in April 2024 a customer had big trees planted in the backyard. One experience ran badly wrong, and it is specific. In June 2025 a homeowner gave one star over a spring cleaning: a lot of leaves missed, the lawn not mowed, bags of leaves left behind rather than hauled away, and employees who, they wrote, were rude and told them to go inside and stop watching them work. A September 2025 reviewer left three stars with the line "Not bad. Lot better out there." For a North Shore yard that has gotten ahead of you — a clearing, a reseed, a patio, or a standing mowing and cleanup schedule — this is a straightforward call. Put in writing what a cleanup covers, specifically whether the debris leaves with the crew, and agree who you talk to on the day.

Novak Landscaping did a fantastic job with our patio and crushed stone boarder at our home. The owner visited the site and clearly communicated pricing and scope of work beforehand. They completed the work in the original timeline, and checked in several times throughout the process to make sure we were satisfied. Highly recommend.

I couldn’t picture how great my yard would turn out because I’ve been struggling keeping up with it for years. They came in and finished in a day. Completely changed the look of my yard. Amazing! Great work guys!
