O J Mann Electric Services is an electrical company in Cheshire, CT that installs and services generators. Its Google page shows 4.9 stars from 777 ratings, and the company says it has been in business 40 years. A recent customer with flickering lights said Chris came out, detected the problem and solved it. One recent customer said the company placed their standby natural gas generator and did its electrical installation 10 years ago, and has done the maintenance on it twice a year since. A recent customer who got a Low Frequency fault code said the generator was checked over and the generator breaker in the transfer switch turned out to be off. Ben, the service technician, explained the generator operation and reviewed the electrical panel, a recent customer wrote. A 2025 customer said that, rather than push a new unit, they got that customer's older generator running for a fraction of the price. A recent 1-star customer said their home standby generator failed with a Low Oil Pressure code shortly after a routine service. That customer said a technician admitted an active oil leak from the prior service and fixed it, but the engine had already suffered internal damage, and the company sent a $10,000 quote to replace the generator. The customer said they have tried to reach the general manager by phone and email and that the company is ghosting them. The customer with the ten-year-old generator also said their latest six-month service ran later than expected because no service tech had been assigned until they called.
