Valiant Home & Energy describes itself as the company families in Central and Western Connecticut call for propane, heating, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and more, since 1923. A recent customer who wrote of being a client for 30 years said the website takes care of simple things such as fuel delivery and checking an account balance without a phone call. That same customer said Erik Solis arrived exactly on time, kept them updated on his diagnostics for a boiler issue, and the problem was solved quickly. A recent customer said Kyle looked at a central air problem after hours on a Friday night and fixed it just in time before the hot weather. A recent customer said Michael diagnosed an A/C problem quickly and told the customer the unit could not be fixed. A 2026 customer said their furnace stopped working on the first day of a blizzard, service could not be dispatched until the next day because of a statewide commercial vehicle ban, and heat was restored by mid-morning after they were the first appointment. A 2026 customer said a no-heat call late on a Sunday night had the system repaired and running within 20 minutes. A recent customer said Jacob Maisto, Kevin Milia and Javier Rivera removed an old oil tank, installed the new one and left the work area very clean. A recent customer said Nicholas installed a water treatment system. A recent customer said an electrician came fast, fixed the problem and worked together with "the AC guy." On Reddit, an r/Connecticut commenter said they used Valiant Energy and "They were great." A 2026 customer said a technician replaced a valve on a no-heat call and said the boiler chimney needed cleaning, but the chimney person they then hired said it was nowhere near needing it; that customer felt over $400 was high for something not totally fixed. A 2026 customer said they waited 3-4 months for a sensor replacement and the technician was sent out with the wrong part. A 2024 customer said they told the company not to deliver oil and set the tank to will-call online, then received 134 gallons and were not credited. A 2024 customer said they had run out of propane three times since becoming customers in October, with a gauge and a low-propane monitor that failed. In 2023, a customer complained that the company could not be reached at its 800 number.
