I truly cannot express how impressed with this company and how grateful I am to their team, particularly the two men who performed my move, Chris and Slim. From my first interaction, O’Neill & Sons was so responsive and helpful. The quote I received was expertly estimated — 2 men, 4-6 hours, 18 ft truck — my move ended up being 5 hours total and even though the company only had a larger truck available, they honored the price of the quoted truck. Chris and Slim were right on time and super adaptable and kind. They put me at ease immediately, had great attitudes, communicated so well with me and with each other (seriously, watching these two guys move furniture together and back a giant truck into a loading dock is a masterclass of effective teamwork), and they took great care with all my possessions. I really hope I don’t have to move again any time soon, but when I do, I know who to call. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!

We recently used O’Neill and Sons to move from Connecticut to Rhode Island, and I honestly can’t say enough good things about them. From start to finish, Chris, Slim, and Frank were professional, thoughtful, and genuinely careful with every single piece of furniture — nothing was rushed, nothing was damaged, and nothing was treated carelessly. What really stood out was their attitude and work ethic. This was a 12+ hour day, and they powered through it like absolute troopers — staying positive, focused, and attentive the entire time (even when we had to ask them to turn the truck around to add a couple extra boxes). That kind of dedication is rare, and it made an already stressful moving day feel so much more manageable. O’Neill & Sons Inc. Moving Co. is THE best mover I have ever used, and I have moved A LOT! My moves have included across the country, within a few different states, and overseas. From the first phone call, you know you are in experienced, caring hands. Patti, the owner, is on top of every detail and can answer any question you have about your move. Matt, the son, did my walk-through and estimate in person! I appreciated his knowledge and willingness to answer every question (and I ask a lot!). I believe a walk through estimate is much more accurate, and shows more care and concern, than a quick spoken or written list prepared by the client and barely listened to by other companies’ estimators (based on other experiences I’ve had). Matt stayed in touch with me and explained the estimate; Patti confirmed my desired date and answered my questions about experience level of crew she was assigning to my move. On moving day, I was treated with much respect and I witnessed much hard work with NO complaints. I expected 3 guys but had 4 plus a guy on the truck, who arranged items as the guys loaded the truck. This increase in number of workers did not inflate my cost. Matt stopped by supposedly to say Hi and see how everything was going on the loading, but soon I saw him joining the movers with the team. All of them got along well with one another, and listened to all of my directions, requests, and suggestions. More than once a chair was moved close to me and I was encouraged, with respect, to sit down. On the unloading end, a similar level of energy, willingness to listen and work hard, and respect for me and all of my furniture and items was displayed. When I discovered one problem with an item a week after the move, I called Patti and she immediately took care of and arranged for the solution. No defensiveness, no avoiding blame or turning it on me, but rather a pleasant attitude, an apology, and reassurance that it would be handled. It was, with no difficulty and no permanent harm to the item. That’s service! Congratulations to this family run business, for treating their clients and their employees with kindness and respect. O’Neill Movers sets a very high standard that all movers, and all family owned and run businesses, should strive to match.
