Twenty years after Frank Oliveira painted one customer's exterior, that homeowner wrote in a July 2022 review that the house still hadn't needed repainting — and that Frank had just been back to do it again. Two other customers describe returning to him: one wrote in November 2025 that he had finished a fourth job for them, and a January 2025 homeowner had him back to repaint the house he had first painted more than ten years earlier. Oliveira Painting and Carpentry works out of 198 West St in Hopedale and calls itself a family-owned shop 30 years in, doing painting, finish and structural carpentry, decks, siding repair, windows, pressure washing and historic wood restoration. Its site names Milford, Hopedale, Bellingham, Hopkinton, Holliston, Franklin and Medway; its Houzz profile claims a wider Central Massachusetts and northern Rhode Island reach, 27 years in business, and a Houzz Award. The written accounts run from 2020 to January 2026 — five stars across 33 Google ratings, and two more on Houzz. Most are paint jobs: ceilings, trim and staircases, the walls, doors, shelving and stairs of a newly finished basement in March 2023, a discontinued paint color matched exactly in September 2023. Several describe carpentry instead — rot cut out around a front door in April 2024 and the new boards painted to blend with the old woodwork, water-damaged porch posts repaired rather than replaced in August 2022, a fiberglass front door and its sidelights stained in September 2022. A November 2023 Houzz customer had a strangely textured ceiling plastered and repainted to match, at the price originally quoted. One thing to settle before signing: the state registry lists the company's home improvement contractor registration, #174899, as expired, with Frank Oliveira named as its holder, while the company's own site says it is fully licensed. Ask him where that registration stands now, and get a current certificate of insurance before work starts. For repainting inside or out, ceiling and plaster patching, and the wood repairs that tend to come with them, this is a straightforward call for a homeowner around Milford. Get the scope in writing — including who handles any rot or drywall the job turns up — alongside that registration answer.
Amazing work
Frank does excellent work. He recently completed his 4th job for me. He cares about his work. I’ll be calling him again when I have another project that needs to be done.
For us, Frank was a hidden gem. Quality work, professionalism was on the mark. He did some painting for us outside & inside. Also very punctual. He’s very talented at what he does. We need more people like Frank in the world!!
Frank did an outstanding job on my house. I highly recommend his services.
Excellent experience. Frank was patient, knowledgeable and kept to our schedule. He was approachable when I had questions. This was the second time Frank painted our house. The first painting held up for over 10 years. We just needed a color change and refresh. Frank is skilled in carpentry as well which made it very convenient for me. I highly recommend Frank Oliveria.
