Onion Town Builders describes itself on its website as a residential and light commercial construction and general contracting company. It names custom new homes and kitchen and bath remodels as its focus, and says it works with local homeowners as well as those "from a world away." A local video-production site has featured a house the company was building. A 2026 Google customer said the company refused to provide a contract and gave a bid that customer called inflated, putting the cost down to lumber prices. That customer said a promised re-bid with a different lumber vendor never came, calls, texts and emails went unanswered, no work was done, and the deposit was not given back.
“This Video is of a house under construction by Onion-Town Builders. It is located on Starboard Cove in Machiasport Maine.”
Refused to provide contract. Gave an insanely inflated bid. Pretended the cost was inflated due to lumber prices…. Promised to re-bid with a different lumber vendor. Never did. Wouldn’t answer calls, texts, emails. Didn’t do any work. Refused to give my deposit back. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
