This branch is horrible. I signed up for service on a 9 month contract for a rat problem i had in Bridgeport. I am several months in and the problem has only got worse. Additionally, the technician won't even take my call or call me back and its been weeks. Service is terrible and customer service is terrible.

And yet another edit: Getting a call saying "would you like a free home inspection. I see you still have mice" when your tech just told you that you *don't* have mice. Another Edit: It's now November 2024. Big promises in September about how the branch manager would PERSONALLY call me to confirm my November appointment. It's November 26. No one has called. No one has come for their appointment. I'm leaving town for the holiday with no idea what is going on and no one is answering the phone at the branch on top of it. ETA: It's now September 2024. While service had improved for a time, since January, the office has been a complete disaster. I have not had an appointment confirmed since then. Techs show up without basic equipment. I had three no shows in the month of July that required me to reschedule my life. A tech shows up this morning as I'm leaving for work since at no point had an appointment been scheduled or confirmed with me (and since I have repeatedly told the office Thursday doesn't work for me). Original post: I'm frustrated right now. We've been using Orkin since April 2021 when we moved into a new place. I was all for preventive care. I am perfectly happy to have them come in frequently and think the cost is fair...for what they are supposed to do. The reality is that no one has ever done a full preventive inspection of the interior of our place, and we have had to rely on asking for services as opposed to them being done naturally. We complained about ants and bugs for two months before they finally sprayed for them. The first two times the tech came in, he only checked the traps he had set. Nothing else. Friday, we heard loud scratching noises that seem to be coming from the attic. I spoke to the national helpline since despite what Google says, no the branch is not open until midnight and they said someone would call me first thing Monday and be out immediately. I instead get a call that they can't come until Friday. This is unacceptable. Ultimately, they were able to get someone to come on Tuesday, but I'm having trouble understanding what I'm paying for and why I should keep paying when I could have called a competitor on Friday and gotten service immediately. The rep then said "Well, are there traps in the attic?" And my response to that is surely, for holistic prevention, there should be. Did I need to ask for that? and if so, why do I need experts?

​I have been paying Orkin monthly for a couple of years now, trusting that their service was keeping my home protected. We recently started a kitchen remodeling project and tore down the cabinets, only to discover hundreds of live cockroaches hidden behind them. ​It was utterly disgusting and deeply disappointing. How can a professional pest control company service a house for years and completely miss an infestation of that size? They failed to do the fundamental job I hired them for. ​Save your money and go with a local company that actually inspects and treats your home properly. Very disappointed and will be canceling my service immediately.
