P.J. Keating Co calls itself on its website the trusted name for quality construction materials, products and services for over 100 years. Its website lists a service area of Dracut, Rochester, Acushnet and Cranston. A 2012 recyclinginternational.com item said P.J. Keating Co. used over 140 000 tons of recycled asphalt per year in the production of its hot-mix asphalt in public and private projects. A 2018 heraldnews.com item said the town issued a demolition permit at the former Tilcon-Capaldi property to contractor P.J. Keating Co. of Lunenburg. A 2020 southcoasttoday.com item reported that the state of Massachusetts had shut down P.J. Keating's relocated asphalt operations in Acushnet. In a 2025 review, a customer called the material warmed up millings that break apart when laid.
“P.J. Keating, Co., a CRH Company”
“to halt its operations due to the spread of noxious fumes and odors beyond”
“found that the emissions caused nearby homeowners to suffer burning eyes, noses, and throats.”
“The company that owns the PJ Keating asphalt plant and quarry has now filed a $50 million federal lawsuit against the town of Acushnet and its leaders.”
“The state of Massachusetts has shut down P.J. Keating's relocated asphalt operations in Acushnet.”
They just stand around and burn the clock. Especially on highway work. Waste of tax dollars if you ask me.
The worst material around no liquid ac all recycled I don’t know how they don’t get in trouble with this it’s warmed up millings you can’t even roll it it breaks apart and as soon as you lay it scares everywhere horrible
Excelente!!!! Secreária e operadores da usina de asfalto e carregamento muito profissionais e educados.
Terrific blue stone open pit mine. Unfortunately the town of Acushnet doesn't really appreciate them and all they do for the community.
