Five customers between 2017 and 2019 described the same person: Pedro, who turns up with one worker or a crew of four or five depending on the job. One had a fence repaired and a gate added in May 2019 and called the price very reasonable, then hired him again for spring cleanup. Another, in November 2018, said the old fence posts had been thin and set two feet down, and that Pedro replaced them with square posts going four feet into the ground, for less than the other quotes they had. Two other customers had a different experience, and both wrote at length. In March 2020 one said the quote covered 52 feet more fence than they needed, that they had walked the measurements with other contractors, and that the numbers were not corrected when they raised it; they put the quote about $4,000 above the others for the same work. In June 2019 another said the call was ended once they mentioned living a town over, and that follow-up calls went to voicemail. Angi shows a 5.0 badge from five counted reviews while its review section renders seven cards, the two complaints among them. Everything written, good and bad, falls between 2017 and 2020. The listings do not agree on where the company is or how long it has traded. The Better Business Bureau has it in Woburn at seven years in business, not accredited and not rated; Angi and HomeAdvisor put it at 65 Exeter in Chelsea with twelve years of experience claimed and 22 recent projects. For a fence repair or a spring cleanup where you can get a fixed, itemised quote, Pedro's earlier customers were happy with the workmanship. Have the run measured yourself before you sign, and get the linear footage written into the contract.
This contractor was awful to work with. He price gauged. The quote he provided was 52 feet more than what I needed. I walked with other contractors as they did the measurements. I keep telling him his numbers are off and he refused to fix them. His quote was $4K more for the exact same work on a quote I received from another contractor. This company should not be referred to anyone. If he is, customers should pay very close attention to what he quotes. Thank you,
called to see about setting up an appointment and once I told him I lived a Town over he hung up on me... When I called back , I just kept getting voicemail... At first I thought we got ut off so I left a message, but without a return call I just think this is very unprofessional and I called back and told him so.. ( Again with the voicemail
The price was very reasonable. Pedro repaired our fence and added a gate. We also hired him for spring cleanup. I would hire him and his company again.
I was very happy with everything. The price was better than the other quotes that I received and the quality seems to be excellent (the old posts were much thinner and went 2 feet into the ground, he replaced them with square posts that go 4 feet down). He originally stated that he was scheduling three weeks out but might be able to fit me in before that. He ended up doing with less than two weeks after the quote so that worked out well. He also guaranteed the work and materials for two years. Altogether it was a good experience and the fence looks great, I would definitely hire them again. One quick note on the price, while the original quote was still better than the other prices I received, the final price also included an Angie's List promotional discount.
Pedro is the best.
