Panella’s Plumbing has a 3.4-star Google average from 15 ratings, with customer accounts describing both completed repairs and disputes over work and billing. In March 2026, a customer said the team fixed a leak and replaced the pipes in two hours, praising the price and clean work after two other plumbers had not solved the problem. A January 2025 reviewer described a different experience: a $143.57 charge after a worker entered the basement, said nothing was leaking and left. The customer said nothing was checked. In October 2022, another customer reported a leak and mold smell months after a January toilet installation. They said Panella’s denied having installed that toilet and billed $140 for a reset, and they criticized the receptionist’s conduct. An August 2022 Enfield business customer disputed billed rooftop air-conditioning maintenance, saying the unit had not improved and calls went unanswered for a week. The customer said AirServ subsequently identified a broken fan and supplied photos contradicting Panella’s account of dirty filters and completed maintenance. Those are the customer’s allegations about the work and charges. A separate April 2025 rental reviewer alleged harassment, six years without heat, and a rent-payment and legal dispute, saying an agreed court resolution had not cleared their record. That account concerns a rental relationship. The Hartford Courant identifies Michael J. Panella as a longtime former owner and operator of the Enfield business.
“He had been working there for about a month as a plumber, and was known as a hard worker, according to a fellow employee.”
“Michael J. Panella, for 50 years the owner and operator of Panella’s Plumbing & Heating Inc. of Enfield, died Friday at Suffield House after a long illness.”
They are so good and professional, the price is good, they fixed the leak and they changed all the pipes for me in 2hour,before 2 plumber was coming and not do anything,I am so happy was find them, they work great and clean, I will call them again if I need plumbers
if i could give him no stars i would. dont ever rent from him. hes the rudest person ive ever encountered. he will harrass you to the point you need to call the police. his secretary almost hit me with her car. told me to take my money back and then tried to serve me for non payment. dont listen to his attorney he will not take it off your record even if you agreed on it in court. never fixes anything either had no heat for 6 years...
Walked in my home and said there's nothing I can do left and charged $143.57 just cause they drove to my house. They didn't check anything just walked in our basement and said "there's nothing leaking I can't do anything" and left. I would never use this company they want to charge you for doing nothing
Great experience. Very happy
Panella's installed a new toilet in January '22, 7 months later I have a major mold smell and can't see why, soo I find a leak under the floor ging into my cellar, I call them to come fix it and he claims "he didn't install this one"- LIAR!! So I get a bill of $140 for a "reset" of my toilet!!! RESET??? Why afte only 6 months does it need a reset- because it wasn't done correctly the first time!! The receptionist IS VERY RUDE & UNPROFESSIONAL!!! No customer service in that business AT ALL!! DO NOT USE THEM FOR ANYTHING they don't stand behind their work because theres always excuses on their end!!! NEVER AGAIN
