Paquette Plumbing, LLC is a Mendon plumbing and heating company. On the Better Business Bureau it describes itself as providing plumbing, heating, air conditioning and water treatment services throughout Vermont, and its own website names Rutland as its service area and says it has been in business 19 years. A 2024 customer said Avery and Tim removed an old oil boiler and installed a new heat pump water tank, and that the whole process did not take long. A 2023 customer wrote that the company installed a combination boiler and that they were very happy with the work, though they found the estimates and billing confusing. In a 2023 review, a customer with a plumbing and heating emergency at 4:30 p.m. said a technician was sent immediately, the area was secured, and both issues were addressed the following day. A 2022 customer praised the replacement of their fuel oil tank. A 2025 customer said the installation of two hot water heaters and some boiler work took two days for what the company's own tech said should have been a one-day job, that a valve was left closed that would have run the boiler dry, and that they were later charged $1000 for a boiler problem that turned out to be a regulator Suburban replaced for free. A 2024 customer wrote that two heating and hot water wall units were installed with exhaust venting problems; the customer said Nick, the owner, acknowledged the faulty installations, but three calls and an email went unanswered while ice built up outside the doorstep. A 2022 customer said three months passed after an estimate before hearing back, and that the job was left unfinished while the company waited on a part. In a 2022 review, a customer said Joe took a water sample for a water softener estimate and that five months later there was still no response despite multiple calls to the office. Vermont lists a plumber licence, PM-03942, as active, held by Nicholas A Paquette.
Not about their work, but encountered road rage from someone in their truck this morning. Not a great representation.
Worst experience we have ever had. I would look any where else for a plumber unless you like being overcharged. Where to begin, we had them install 2 hot water heaters and complete some boiler work. Very unprofessional. They spent the majority of time on their phones watching you tube videos and making phone calls. Took 2 days to do a one day job. Their own tech told me it should have been a one day job when he came back out to verify valves at our request. Luckily I had someone else take a look. One of the valves they left closed would have caused the boiler to run dry and ruin it. Of course they wouldn’t care since it would be more work and money for them. We had a bunch more jobs we wanted done but now will take our business elsewhere. Fast forward to winter time when the boiler was turned back on it didn’t work. So we called them since they should have made it right. They did the work after all. Nope they charged us another $1000 to not fix the issue and tell us to call gas company that it was some gas valve. So I did call suburban and guess what it wasn’t the gas valve like they said it was the regulator which suburban replaced for free. Never again. I would run the other way with this company. All they care about is money not doing the right thing.
I rent a storage unit here and their pricing is very fair.
Paquette plumbing installed two heating/hot water wall units, and both units had problems with the venting of the exhaust pipes. Met with Nick the owner of the company, and he acknowledged the faulty installations, and said they could be corrected. However, after three additional phone calls to the office and an email, no one ever call back or reply to my email. According to the installation manual, the exhaust pipe needs 24 inches of clearance below the soffit for hot air to escape, or through the roof. Paquette vented the exhaust pipe right at the soffit, and it caused hot air to drift back into the attic, and hot air condensing into water/ice during cold days. Also, this exhaust pipe supposed to pitch slightly upward for the air to escape and drain the condensed water into the pump located inside the house, however, the pipe was installed pitching slightly downward and caused condensed water to drain outside of the house, alongside of the exterior wall. This faulty installation is causing ice accumulation outside of doorstep, icicles hanging under the gutter, and icicles under the deck and above the first-floor deck ceilings. The first-floor exhaust vent was noticed by Nick, and said it needs to penetrate through the facial board away from the deck. After nearly two months chasing, I lost hope that Paquette plumbing will do the right thing to correct this issue. Now that we're in cold winter time, I have to deal with a pile of ice outside of my doorstep.
Couldn't ask for a more professional and caring company. I have had numerous jobs done through them and never once had to worry about quality. Highly recommended to anyone that they serve!
