Ask who is coming and you get a name. Across 38 reviews written between 2019 and 2025, customers thank Paul, Aaron, Earl, Joe and Alex individually — and several give as much credit to the office: scheduling calls, confirming texts, someone saying when the van will arrive. Patriot Electrical Contracting & Service works from Bradford Street in Concord. Its Massachusetts electrician licence and its New Hampshire one are both registry-verified active, held by Joshua A Page, and the company's own site adds a Vermont number. The BBB grades it A+, and Google shows 4.8 across 123 ratings. One thing the site says up front: Patriot Electric is now JP Electric and Son, doing residential, commercial and industrial electrical work out of Concord — wiring, upgrades, generators, troubleshooting and EV charger installs. The jobs customers write up are the everyday kind, done quickly. A February 2022 customer had a light fixture installed within three days of calling, with the code fixes identified in minutes. Another that July had six recessed lights put in with barely a mark on the ceiling, by an electrician who fetched his own supplies and did not break until it was done. A May 2023 condo owner had a smoke detector swapped in 30 minutes and the place left clean. In March 2024 a customer said an emergency call got Paul out the same day at a fair price. A June 2023 customer in a 1950s Cape said the technician explained the process and suggested affordable options rather than the expensive one. Two accounts run the other way. In March 2024 a customer wrote that when the local building inspector required a safety modification to work already done, Patriot refused, and they hired another company to complete it. In May 2025 a reviewer left one star, calling the company too expensive. Before booking, agree in writing what happens if an inspector requires a change, and get the price quoted before the work starts. A reasonable call for everyday residential electrical: fixtures, recessed lighting, outlets, smart switches, troubleshooting, generators and EV chargers. Confirm which name goes on your contract, given the change to JP Electric and Son, and who is actually doing the work.
Save your self the trouble these guys suck and are way too expensive
Unfortunately Patriot was unwilling to stand behind the work they did. When the local building inspector required a safety modification to the work, Patriot refused, and eventually we had to hire another company to complete the work. Save yourself the headache and hire somebody else.
Patriot performs consistently high quality work for a good price, and I'd recommend them to anyone. Today I called Patriot for an emergency job and they had Paul out the same day, charged a fair price, and did the job right. Paul is the man. 10/10 would recommend.
Aaron installed several Smart Light Switches, added two new outlets to our office and replaced the light bulbs in my overhead light fixtures with the proper ones for enclosed fixtures. Aaron did a great job! He is a total professional and easy to work with, too. I highly recommend Patriot Electric!!
Aaron was great to deal with. Explained everything concisely. Will def recommend to others!
