Patriot Oil Burner Service

Patriot Oil Burner Service is a Chester oil heat shop that customers call for boiler and furnace tune-ups, replacements and the occasional cold-night emergency. It holds 5 stars from 309 Google ratings, and the company's own site says it opened on September 1st 2009, with the founder citing over 15 years as a head service technician and a strong plumbing background. Two names come up in the reviews: Jerry, whom one August 2026 reviewer calls the owner, and Zander, named in reviews of tune-ups and furnace work. Recent customers describe Zander arriving on time, answering questions and leaving things clean; a September 2026 reviewer liked getting the technician's name and ETA ahead of the visit. The installation stories are recent and specific. An August 2026 review says Jerry and his crew installed a new boiler in half a day and left the area clean. Another that month says Jerry and Zander replaced a 40-year-old oil burner and a water heater and fixed the "spaghetti" piping so all 5 zones in the house work. In September 2026, one customer had a rusted, leaking electric hot water heater replaced in a couple of hours, and another had a furnace removed and replaced, calling the price very reasonable compared to previous quotes. The emergency accounts are specific too. In a January 2026 review, during a snowstorm with an unplowed dirt road, Jerry talked the customer's son through the steps by phone and came out early the next morning to fix the second-floor heat. A December 2023 reviewer wrote that another company red-tagged their unit, left them without heat or hot water for 4 days and quoted $11,000; Jerry fixed the problem for a fraction of that cost. A November 2023 customer whose boiler stopped on a cold night said Jerry answered right away and had the parts on hand. Eleven of the quoted reviews praise the price, with words like "very fair", "well-priced" and "economical pricing". The company advertises free estimates and 24/7 emergency service. Reviewers also describe Patriot servicing air conditioning, split systems and a heat pump, and a 2024 customer said the company would be back to install a mini split, although an August 2026 Reddit comment said the company strictly focuses on oil.
