Peaceful Place Home Organizers

A client had spent 12 years unable to face her basement. In a December 2020 review, she wrote that Peaceful Place had it fully organized in a span of days. That's the shape of what this Brewster company does — it turns rooms people have given up on back into usable rooms. Julie Brooks owns it. A Wellfleet cultural-district page describes her leading a team of 15 organizers who have guided more than 1,000 clients across southeastern Massachusetts. The company's own site calls the crew "Team Peace" and lists room-by-room decluttering, senior downsizing, packing, move management and unpacking, with a stated service area running from Braintree and Brockton down through Duxbury, Marshfield and Marion. Moves are the thread running through the reviews. In February 2026, a client moving from the South Shore to a much smaller Cape home described the service as customized and efficient. A November 2025 reviewer said the team staged, packed and unpacked for her. In September 2025, another had an organizer scheduled within a week, worked with Kerri, and said Julie found her both a moving company and a storage company. Further back, a 2020 client described every box unpacked and a filing cabinet weeded out, four days turning a move-in into a finished home. The scoring is consistent across platforms: 5.0 from 30 Thumbtack ratings, 4.9 on both Angi and HomeAdvisor. The emotional side of the work comes up nearly as often. In a 2023 review, a client dealing with a flood and a death in the family said the team broke the house into separate projects and prioritized them. A 2021 reviewer with ADHD wrote that decluttering alongside Pegi took away the stress of a job she couldn't start on her own. One dissenting account is worth reading before booking. In April 2025, an Angi reviewer left 3 stars: she called the organizer a wonderful person, but said the work mostly amounted to sorting her belongings into the same piles she would have made herself, leaving her with the same problem — and she found her organizer difficult to communicate with in English. What she wanted was someone more aggressive about getting things out of the house. So settle that question first: do you want someone to sort and systematize what you keep, or someone who will push you to part with things? Say which, ask who from the team is assigned and how they work, and agree on where things go — donation, disposal, storage — before day one.
