Pine Tree State Inspections is a home inspection business. Its website says its goal is to help buyers, sellers, renters and investors understand their home and its systems, and the company reports 23 years in business. On the Better Business Bureau it describes its work as commercial and residential building inspections, and it holds an A+ BBB grade. On Google it has 3.9 stars from 19 ratings. A recent Google customer gave one star, wrote that Ashley was "Not a man of his word" and said it was not worth the money or time. In a 2025 review, a customer said he was over an hour late to start and somewhat rude, and that six months later they still did not have the results of the water or mold tests they paid for. That 2025 customer also said they later found issues that should have been noticed during the inspection, such as water fittings not rated for pressure and large cracks in structural beams, which were costly to fix. A 2025 customer wrote that the business did not respond after the inspection on very important deadline issues. In a 2025 review, a customer said Ashley, the owner, and Jordan, a worker, said they would show up at a certain time and then never showed up or called, four scheduled times in a row.
Ashley has graduated the Home Inspector by mail two week course with the lowest possible grade. Not a man of his word. Not worth the money or time. Hire a third grader same results
Very frustrating experience. Complete waste of money. He was over an hour late to start and somewhat rude. It is now 6 months later and I still do not have the results from my water or mold tests which I paid for. I’ve reached out several times and he says he “working on it”. I’ve also found several issues that should’ve been easily noticed during inspection such as water fittings not rated for pressure and large cracks in structural beams, which have been costly to fix and could’ve helped negotiate before closing.
Does not respond after inspection for very important deadline issues.
STOP: PLEASE READ: SETH HENDERSON'S REVIEW IS A "FAKE" REVIEW!! Pine Tree State Inspections, along with Ashley, and others, are an EXCELLENT, family-owned business that goes above and beyond for all of their customers and lives up to their excellent reputation! The FALSE, unflattering review by "SETH HENDERSON", is just that. It is an UNSOLICITED FALSE REVIEW. He has also been posting false reviews about other local small businesses. A clarification I felt, was needed. Thank You! :-) Tom Caswell-Operations Manager MG General Construction. York, Me.
I hate to leave bad reviews, but sometimes it’s necessary. I’m trying to save somebody else from the trouble of using this particular inspection service. Ashley, The Owner, and Jordan the worker are extremely unprofessional. There were several days they said they were going to show up at a certain time, then never showed up. Never called to say they weren’t coming. This happened four scheduled times in a row! They think their time is more valuable than anyone else’s. I would strongly recommend to stay away from this company. Save yourself the headache. I don’t even think they deserve one star to be quite honest. I called their competitors, and they came over the very next day right on time.
