Pioneer Seal Coating & Asphalt Maintenance is a Central Massachusetts paving and sealcoating contractor based in Millbury, working across Worcester, Milford, Hopkinton, Upton, Grafton and Westborough. Its work covers sealcoating, crack sealing, infrared and mastic asphalt repair, line striping, and driveway and parking-lot paving. The business traces back to 2001, when Letourneau — now the owner since acquiring it in 2011 — helped a friend start the company, according to a Worcester Business Journal piece. On Reddit's r/WorcesterMA in 2026, two separate posters vouched for the company: one had a driveway sealcoated and called the experience straightforward, and another said they'd used Pioneer twice, describing them as reliable, though noting they tend to book out a bit in advance. Anyone hiring Pioneer should plan ahead for scheduling, since the recent word on them points to a bit of a wait to get on the calendar.
“Another vote for Pioneer. I used them twice. Reliable and straightforward. They generally book out a bit.”
“Pioneer seal coat did our driveway and the experience was straightforward as could be”
“Letourneau acquired Pioneer in 2011, but his connection to the business actually dates back to 2001 when he helped a friend establish the local asphalt paving and preservation company.”
