Three generations of the Consoli family work at Pleasant Valley Landscape. The company's site says Mario and David Consoli started it in 1988; David still runs daily field operations, and Michael Consoli, the third generation, is on the maintenance crew. It's a small shop — the Better Business Bureau profile lists three employees — working Methuen and the towns around it: Andover, North Andover, Haverhill, Dracut, and Salem just over the New Hampshire line. By its own description the company is a full-service residential and commercial landscape contractor across the Merrimack Valley: weekly maintenance on one side, design and installation on the other. The customer who wrote about them on Google in July 2026 was a repeat one. They thanked David and the PVL team, said they had been happy with the work over the years, and framed it as the pleasure of dealing with a local, family-owned business with "old-school" values and work ethic. Both Google ratings are 5 stars, and the BBB file, open since 2017, carries an A+ with no complaints listed. The dates don't agree. The website claims 35 years and a 1988 founding; the BBB profile records the business as starting in January 1994. Either way this is a long-running local company, but ask which is right if tenure matters to your decision. This is a sensible call for a homeowner who wants the same familiar crew on the property season after season, the arrangement that July reviewer describes. For a design-and-install project rather than routine mowing, ask to walk a recent job nearby and get the scope and schedule down in writing before the spring calendar fills.
