Pitch and puddles are how you judge a driveway a year later, and that is the thing customers keep coming back to here — "perfect pitch, no puddles," as one 2024 reviewer put it after a full tear-out and replacement. Plymouth County Paving runs out of Plympton, says it has been family owned and operated since 1976, and averages 4.5 across 38 Google ratings. Residential driveways are the bulk of it. This May, a homeowner described a 4,500-square-foot driveway full of cutouts, slopes and curves being removed and rebuilt despite wet soil underneath. In a 2024 review, another customer said the crew reshaped the edges and curves and pitched the surface away from the buildings, finishing on time and on budget; a 2023 customer's 140-foot driveway came in under two competing quotes. Sealcoating and hot rubber crack sealing are steady work as well — in a September 2025 review, a repeat customer described the company picking a rain-free day to seal a driveway it had paved two years earlier, then rain arriving half an hour after the spray. Commercial work runs alongside it. A property manager writing in May 2025 described a mill and resurface of a one-acre-plus parking lot at a Duxbury shopping center, executed quickly; the company's own site adds municipal roadways, parking lots and striping across the South Shore and southeastern Massachusetts. Two older items sit in the background, and neither concerns a customer's driveway. Published Massachusetts case records describe a Superior Court jury verdict for Richard Ware, doing business as Mass Sealcoat, on counterclaims against Gene Beliveau, arising out of a company the two men set up in 2005 and unwound in 2006. Separately, the Plympton Halifax Express reported that the town's Zoning Board of Appeals held a hearing in December 2018 on Beliveau's appeal of a May 2017 cease-and-desist order issued by the town's zoning enforcement officer; the report does not give an outcome. The only sour note from a customer is a 2022 reviewer who wrote that they were sworn at and would not hire again. The Better Business Bureau has had a file open since 1988 but does not rate the company, saying it lacks sufficient information. For a South Shore driveway — new, replaced, or sealed — this is a deep and consistent record, with an office people name in their reviews. Walk the pitch and drainage with them on site before the equipment arrives, and get the price in writing.
