PosiGen describes itself on its Better Business Bureau page as a provider of solar PV and thermal solutions and of energy efficiency consulting. The Better Business Bureau gives it a B- grade and lists 8 complaints. A local news site, wtnh.com, has reported that the solar company laid off Connecticut employees, citing financial difficulties, and has covered the end of all Shelton jobs amid a facility shutdown. In a January 2026 r/connecticut thread, a poster said PosiGen is not installing anymore, so you would have to find another company.

Extremely Disappointed Over a Year Later and Still No Active System I entered into a contract with this company in May REMOVEDa reasonable timeframe. Unfortunately, this has turned into an extremely frustrating experience.
The inverter stopped working, so no solar power for several months, but they keep charging me $70/month. I told them over email, they asked me to call them, but it is not my responsibility to spend more time on the phone with them.
Posigen solar is filling for bankruptcy, they neglected or intentionally never notified me as a consumer of their products. I was mislead about the goods and services provided by the company.
